Has anyone else had problems with the mass air flow sensor and wheel speed sensor? What is a large MAXI fuse the changed it from 15 amp to 60 amp? Just cost me 600.

What. I mean.. don't go and pay for a repair bill if you don't know what's being done.
The only fuse on a first gen that gets 60A is the ABS. You would need to know what they replaced. I'd open the fuse box up and check all the fuses to the lid to make sure all the numbers match. You certainly dont want to bump a 15a circuit up to 60a if it's not nessicary.

If I had to guess, you were having an issue with the ABS system. The wheel speed sensor went bad, causing an error. And for some reason you had a lower amperage fuse than nessicary, which was likely blown. Should have been super cheap. The only fuse in the car that's exceptionally expensive is the primary "Oh poop" fuse that would blow if you were having an exceptionally awful short. In which, absolutely nothing would be working.

As for the mass air flow sensor? Of course people have had that issue. It's a pretty common thing to happen over time. I just had to replace it in march this year.

That said, $600 feels rather high for that amount of work.
