This favor is also for members with various lifts to their Av (body lifts, keys, etc).  Can you tell me how tall your Av is at it's highest point.  Not ground clearance, actual roof height.

We just went looking at houses today.  One house had a garage with nice tall garage doors and plenty of length to fit an Av.  But the second house we looked at had, I was a little 'skeptical'.

Thanks.

A tip is to measure the garage door opening with the door open.  My garage door is 8" lower then the top of the frame when fully open.  Also watch out if the garage door opener is lower then the door.  There is no way my stock AV is fitting into that garage ever.  And remember the roof racks add height.

Yah,  I was going to measure with the door open. The one house I looked had the garage door opener recessed into the ceiling.  Plus the doors were plenty tall when I eyeballed them against my Trailblazer.  Of course the luggage rack adds height too. That's what I meant by measuring to the highest point on your truck.

Thanks.

haha...  I love how you are looking at houses based on if they can handle an Av!

Which are you gonna have first though, house or Av?  :B:

Also, the amount of lift is not only dependent on the type of lift, but also tire size.

It's a consideration.  The house is coming first, but the Av will come right after that.  Ones gotta be able to handle the other.

When I mentioned lift, I meant anything that'll lift the vehicle.  Including tires.

Av-less-Chris (OOPS, I mean Chris!),  I love ya man!...

I am not 100% sure of the total height of my Av at it's highest point.  I know that I can get into a local carwash (BARELY!).  the li'l hanging bar has a hight limit on it, but I can't remember what it says.  I will go by there soon and let you know what it says, and I will also figure a way to measure the height of my Av at the roof rack.

Being Avless isn't a problem for now. It's being homeless that I'm worried about.
