I want to tap the collective AV Supermodder brain!

When the mid-gate is down, it is very slippery and my dog doesn't corner as well as my truck. Has any one found some kind of anti-slip tape or something to put on there? I have thought about just putting a rubber mat back there, but I am sure you all will come up with some stuff I never thought of. That is what I love :love:about this sight!!!! (y) :B:

someone posted their solution a while back in this thread. There may be others, this is just one that I remember.

My current solution is to take panel 1 off and block the rest of the bed with it. So this creates a small closed area under panel 2 and 3 with 1 as the cutoff to the rest of the truck.

I take the window down and open the midgatae. I throw an old carpet over the back of the midgate and the exposed 1st panel area in the bed.

This way my dog could come in and out of the Avalanche at will. He loves to stick his head out the back and lean it on panel 2 as he looks back.

Of course if it rains your SOL!

Jnspur,

I picked up some rubber backed mats at WAL-MART. They are the kind you might find in front of the kitchen sink. They fold easy and wash well.

Aloha,
Murman

Hmmm. I was thinking of putting some of that nonslip tape on there. Haven't tried anything yet.

Thanks for the ideas, everyone! (y)
I went with 3M tread tape. ?It took a little over 1 roll, $7.00 a roll from home improvement store. ?Same grey as cladding. ?
