Midgate leaks

Does anyone have an idea, how to fix water leaks on the bottom of my midgate, what I had to do is chalk the back window and I had put weatherstripping around my midgate box and noticed the next day still leaks

INto Cab?
Midgate seal likely in corners is messed up.
Some resorted to cutting it and inserting a weather strip soft rod to puff back up the seal.

Now did you close it properly?
Open tailgate. - To ensure we do not compress air and fights closing midgate.

REmove rear window
Drop midgate.
Slam midgate close - Ensure cross bar fully seated.
Put window back in.
OPen midgate - Crossbar stays behind.
Slam midgate close to ensure it fully seats.

Both hat double latch systems.

Otherwise please take pictures of where you see water puddling...

Ok I will try that to see if that works, and yes I will take pictures it’s going to rain today

I’ve been dealing with the same issue for the last few months. Rain is a real thing in Florida, and soaked carpet/padding got old quickly. After trying to “puff up” the midgate seal on my ‘03 a few times and failing, I just got a new seal from GMPartsGiant. $109.20, part number 20837689. Problem solved.
Make sure you are not getting water around the crossbar and the back window; clean and lube all the rubber as well as make sure your back window frame isn’t cracked in the corners. Mine was, but some black RTV silicone made short work of that aqueduct. :)
