MIDGATE SEAL FIXES....WITH PICS...

How about a Roll up tonneau cover. I would go with this over the existing covers to keep water out but they are 500-600 bucks for the avalanche. Most of the water is coming from the tailgate with a large gap between it and cover. :E:
Try adjusting the strikers.  That ended up being my name ssue at the tailgate.  Now, if I can find solve the leak between the #1 & #2 panels.

I just did this only a little different. I had a spool of vacuum hose, using some wd40 and having my daughter hold tension on one end of the seal I was able to push the hose halfway through, cut and repeat on the other side. I then siliconed the seal and put it back in place.

For the tailgate, I removed the tail lights and pushed the strikers as far back as they would go.

Bed panels, pulled off the seals, scraped out the hardened caulk, and filled with silicone.

I did notice the drain fitting at the top of the driver side channel by the midgate was pulled out. I cut out the ripped foam seal and siliconed it too. Bed is nice and dry now.

Since this fixes, no water has entered my cab! It has been a few months since and rainy days.. Checked the carpet and it's dry as bone... :D For anyone of you with 02' must take a look into this and see if it solve your water leak problem.
I know this was a super long time ago But My 02 is leaking and I'm going to try this

Does anyone know what the replacement part number is for the midgate weather seal that runs around the bottom of the midgate? The bottom passenger side corner is destroyed and allowing water into the cab. I’m just going to buy a new replacement if possible.
