Heidy ho all! I just bought mine Friday! YAY! When I turned the key I was sold! It has some custom jobber-do's under the hood, it's loud, and has cool tires!

Hi folks,

I live in Fridley.   Just bought a red 04 Z71.   It's amazing how many Avalanches you see once you buy one yourself.   Just got the ambers in.   See you on the road!

Up her in the Red River Valley. Farming at its best. Glyndon, we have one stop light and that is one to many.

Deadbolt here, I'm one of you for 9 months of the year so I figured I better check in. I go to college up in Duluth, at UMD. I have a 05 silver birch av with some chrome boards, gascap and doorhandle. (Pictures coming soon). We should get some gtg's goin, I know theres enough of us in this state to at least get something going.

A MOD GTG would be cool.  A member w/ a large heated garage?  I'd love to raise my truck a couple inches, but would need help.  I've read a little about the "keys" to raise up the truck and sounds like the most affordable way to raise a little bit.

So, we should plan something for Spring. . . . . .

Agreed, and it's not like anywhere in this state is too far of a drive. I would definetly be down for a mod GTG, i'd like to see what other people are doin and i would like to get some work done, it's too damn cold to work out in the dorm parking lots.

Not enough chatter in here Minnesota, I'm only here 8 months out of the year and I know it would be a bigger GTG than South Dakota where I spend the rest of my time. We have enough people, let's get somethin goin again!

Well on Saturday I bought my Avy, and it was kinda by mistake... here is the story.

So I drive from Olivia MN to Stillwater (Denny Heckers New Building) to look at a 2003 Dodge Ram 4x4, test drive was horrible, engine problems and the check engine light was on, second test drive of a 2004 Dodge quad cab was in excellent shape but both myself and the salesman neglected to see that it was not a 4x4. So after an hour or so of him looking around to see what he has at other lots I said I was willing to look at ford piuckups so he found a 2002 Ford F150 that was at a different lot and I said ok lets go look at that one.

While walking with him to find a vehicle to take over there he said jokingly "Your not interested in an Avalanche are you?" and I looked at it and said well lets talk to my wife first (she was in the bathroom) so we walked over to it and she loved the Avy ever since my brother pulled up in his (2002 Black Cladded Loaded) so the salesman went inside to grab the keys and when he was inside I called my brothe rto get his opinion of the Lanche and his opinion is the same as everyone else, Loves it. So after a short conversation with my brother the salesman came back and I said, forget the ford lets test drive this, long story short I walked away with my 2002 Black Cladded Avy and absolutely love it, love the gas mileage and the room and well you know. I am hooked for life on the Avy, I let my dad test drive mine and he said "I need one of these".

By  the way my brother said that it takes a special person to by an Avy and he waves at all the Avy owners and they wave back, I didn't believe hime until I bought one and found this site.

Can't wait to get off work to drive my Avy again, hope to see some ambers!
