I am the proud owner of a new 2004 Z71 :B:, pretty much loaded. Conveinence package, heated seats, power folding mirrors, front guard, DIC, XM Radio, sunroof, etc. I love it! But, I have one problem...

I had the DIC set to curb view assist on the passenger folding mirror. Had been working great for the first two weeks, then I went to leave a shop and put the thing in reverse. I had the mirrors folded in and may or may not have waited for them to unfold before I hit reverse (I don't remember and didn't notice the problem at that time). I noticed about a block after I left that the passender mirror was still pointing at the ground. It's now totally dead, except for the folding in and curb view. It will fold in normally and it will go DOWN to curb view mode, but it won't come out of curb view mode and none of the other controls work.

I can manually put it back where it should be so I can see, but if I leave curb view enabled, it will motor back down whenever I go in reverse. It never comes back up and I can't use any other controls (needless to say, I've now dissabled curb view so I can at least keep the thing where I need it). I tried the power fold reset trick, but that doesn't do anything for it. It's still waranteed, so I can take it back to the dealer, but he's swamped and can't promise he can even look at it the day I drop it off.

Any ideas before I have to resort to dropping it off and getting a rental? Thanks in advance.

I think something broke... :(
BTW Did you know you can set the position of Curb View.
If you put it in reverse and adjust the position with the regular mirror controls, it remembers that as the Curb View position, rather than the factory default. :)
HTH.

Mine is doing the exact same thing.  Also, the heated part is not defrosting on pass side only.  Sounds like an epidemic.  There should be a TSB or something.

Any updates on this issue, I am having the exact same issue, and just disabled Curb View so i can use my mirrors.  It moves down when folding and goes down with curb view, but thats it, no other movements.  Fold in and out works, signals work, i believe the heating works, but not for sure.  I would like to fix this problem, especially since my wife is a tad shorter than me, so her driver position settings are important for her safety. (She's been called a tick on a coondog, when behind the wheel).  --->  A Southern thing   Any info would be greatly appreciated.
