Mod To OnStar?

Can a handheld cell phone placed in a cradel be wired so it can use the mic and sound the way OnStar does. I would like to able to use my own cell phone and drop it into a cradel and use the handfree capability of OnStar.
Possible?

Onstar uses analog technology in the personal calling. I don't know if your probably digital pnone can use analog accessories.
