Hey guys, here's a couple of pics of my Avalanche that I took recently.  I thought I might share a few mods that I've done to it that I think are unique.

- Plasti-dipped chrome around grille
- Oracle LED halo fog lights
- (1) 20" single row Totron led light bar
- (2) Totron LED light pod
- NFAB color-matched light bar
- "Avalanche" windshield decal
- Interior LED footwell lighting
- Air dam delete/dremeled tabs

Some other more common mods:
- 35 watt 6k HIDs Highs/Lows
- 25 watt 6k HIDs in Fogs
- Black chevy emblems
- Debadged/demolded
- 17" XD Addict wheels wrapped in 33" Nitto Trail Grapplers
- CCM Offroad 2.5" leveling kit
- Professionally "smoked" tail lights
- LED bulb replacements for all halogen bulbs
- Vanity license plate
- Amber DRLs
- JVC touchscreen head unit
- Two JL Audio 10" subs powered by 250.1 JL Amp
- Polk Audio door speakers powered by 300 watt Alpine amp
- Reverse camera
- Westin black powder-coated nerf bars
- Straight-piped exhaust dumped before the rear axle
- LED grille lights

Future mods:
- 5" Rough Country suspension lift (maybe)
- Hornblasters train horn kit
- Painted cladding
- Color-matched roof rack (or roof rack delete)
- LED strips in the truck bed
- Sail panel LEDs
- Headlight restoration (does this count as a mod?)
- Possibly a bed rug

There's probably some things I'm missing but I've done so much to this truck!  I absolutely love reading through these forums on here and I figured it's my turn to finally contribute to the forums.  Hope you guys like my truck.  Thanks for looking.

looks good reidbarton96  (y)

i know a bull bar has been on the todo list but i dont want chrome and im afraid black will just blend in so ive been thinking of doing a black bull bar and color matching the skid plate i love the led lights.... if i could everything on mine would be led

Looking good, reidbarton96!

I'll keep an eye out for you.

Wyotonka,
I think the black bull bar/color-matched skid plate would look awesome!  It's unique and modding is all about doing things uniquely to you.  I'd say go for it.  Also, if you look around at other brands besides the almighty Rigid Industries you can find much more affordable prices.  I got my LED bar/pods from a local shop and was told that the brand was Totron LEDs.  The price was very decent.

Krazycarguy,
Go for it!  Just make sure you thoroughly tape the surrounding areas and leave about half of an inch of spacing between your tape lines and the grille surrounding or else the tape will peel the plasti-dip up.

EXT4ME,
Thank you for the reply!  What part of Arkansas are you from?  I'm in North Little Rock.  Also, I love the license plate in your profile picture.

well the only thing that is not led right now is headlights hi/lo, fog lights, drls, and turn signals/running lights

as far as the bull bar its just a matter of i dont want to be another truck with just another bull bar on... thats why i want to go a unique way with it ... i like how yours look though  (y)

Man this thing really does look absolutely awesome. I love the way it looks. WAY TO GO MAN!!!! I have thought about doing the oracle fog light kit and I think you just convinced me. I did the grill plasti, HIDs, I plasti dipped my nameplates and bowties, I really want the avalanche decal btw where did you get that? , I love the light bar thats color matched, looks great. Man this thing looks really really clean. Think you forgot the exhaust mods and any performance mods you put on

this one to be exact
thanks

Another beautiful example of the avalanche.  Kudos. I do think you forgot your dual exhast mod.  That's one that has been on my to do list for a while but I'm hoping the stock one would get damaged first to justify spending the bucks on a new exhaust.

Hey buddy I got a magnaflow excaust it came with the truck when I bought it sounds so sick that's just my 2 cents although think double excaust would be sick also haha idk bro go crawl over a big log and the the rear end bounce on it haha that should do the trick ;)

Thank you for all of the replies, guys!  I added two mods that I forgot about to my original list of current mods which was the dumped straight piped exhaust and grille LEDs.  I no longer have the quad exhaust tips (old picture) out the back...  Funny story, I wanted tips but I wanted the loudness of a dumped vehicle and it just so happens that my buddy's dad got new tips for his Corvette so I had my local shop weld his old Vette tips onto my back bumper unconnected just for looks   But I ended up removing them because the idea of unconnected tips was too cheesy for me.  09chevyavy, my Tahoe buddy ordered me the decal for my birthday so I'm not too sure where he ordered it from, but I found a link to a site that sells them http://www.motorsportsdecals.com/shopexd.asp?id=1384.  Dakotawilk, I LOVE my LED light bar/pods, they're so bright.  That light bar looks pretty good but the price seems significantly lower than most bars at that price, I might be concerned with the quality of LEDs they put in there.  As far as the spot/flood combo they're offering I have to say that my 20" bar has the combo and it's perfect.  Good luck choosing!

I thought I'd post a few pics of my most recent mod which I mentioned in the above post is grille LEDs.  I used two 36" strips of FLEX LEDs that I bought from Autozone and wired them into a rocker switch which I mounted on the lower left panel by the driver door.  The LED strips themselves are mounted with 3M adhesive tape on the horizontal bar that goes across the grille so they're unseen.

Looks sweet man.. It's crazy the difference ur truck looks without the  black piece under your bumper. I somehow can't get myself to rip it off tho haha

Thank you! It's fairly easy to do. Just unbolt the air dam (I believe it is two bolts) and push from behind the bumper to release it from the clips and it will come off. Then you can either leave it the way it is with the clips still on the bumper, or do what I did and take a dremel to the so that you get a smooth bumper. It is one of my favorite mods because it makes the truck look about 2" higher in the front.
