LA, I never really know if you're serious  If you are, I've got an extra 3D Maglite Kit I'll give/install for you in appreciation for your help on the LEDs. :)
Think it's a red maglite...

The intructions look pretty simple except I have no idea what these numbers mean:

87a is normally closed...This will be the wire coming from the drl.
30...This is the other wire from the drl, the wire that comes from the fuse panel.
86...Ground to body.
85...Tap into Turn Signal power. (Install diode inline with the wire that you tapped. Make sure that the silver band on the diode faces the wire coming from the turn signal.

???

85, 86, 30, 87a are 4 terminals on a standard 12v relay. Look at the plastic where the terminals come out of the relay and it should be stamped with those numbers. Tells you how to wire into relay is all.
Being normally closed would indicate normally run the drl, 37 is connected to 87a just as if you didn't install anything. When 12v is applied to the coil 85, from the turn signal, open the relay, turning off the drl. So when signal is on drl is off...the wig wag you are trying to accomplish.

I can bring the ohmeter and verify these connections.

I also have some extra 12v relays laying around if anybody else would like to try this mod.

Hey, I have a pair of Silverstar 9006's. I need 9005's, if anyone can swap with me, let me know..
Also, I am picking up the strobe kits tommorrow to bring, so if anyone else wants one, let me know, so I can grab you one.

Thanks Ken. I am going to get the relays and diodes today.

It's a neat mod. I wish I could commit but I have spent a bundle over the last couple of weeks. If you have an extra set at STI, I could possibly be persuaded.

Give the part number of the diodes, I can get a military version free if we need some.

(y) Thanks for your offer Keith, .....keeping every attendees net GTG expense as low as possible is what STI-II modding is all about.

Being a chef I know the realization that if you aren't prepaired for dinner service you end up not serving the best for your guests. In fact My schoolhttp://www.culinary.edu/ has a motto. "Preparation is everything."
So being the type that checks things over and over again to be sure I am ready I was going through the process of identifying where I was going to route my wires and connections for the power inverter install I am going to do at STI-II. And guess what I found while crawling under my beloved truck. With 14,284 miles on it... Take a look you tell me!!!

In case you were wondering No It's not water. So It looks Like my truck is going into the shop VERY early this morning! For that an oil change, and the tailgate cables. It's a good thing I got those 2 extra days off.
On a side note. I was thinking while under my truck. Does anyone have any of those ramp things you can drive up and park to give you more clearence? They might be helpful with some of the wiring mods under the truck.

Diff is fixed. Met lots of cool Avalanche owners. Including 3 in the service department. 2 of which are already CAFCNA members. Helped a few people with cladding fade issues. Tagged em ;) All is well now. Link to diff problem...http://www.chevyavalanchefanclub.com/cafcna/index.php?board=147;action=display;threadid=32151

I am going down this afternoon to pick up kits, for all that ordered, so if they have an extra one, I will bring it.

Great...don't forget my 2.
Thanks,
Damon
