btw, i will bring my Mag-Lite clips. i might bulid up enough courage to let an experienced member to drill the mounting holes. i can't bring myself to do it.

I'll be glad to help. I have the special inserts & stainless screws for the "ultimate" Maglite mod. But I Know what you mean about drilling into the cover. If you go too far, you've wiped out a cover that probably costs as much as the federal deficit! Having done a few, it's not that bad.

CHECK IT OUT!!! i got the nerve to do the Mag-Lite mod myself!!! i was sitting around board. then i told myself to go to Lowe's. checked out some screws and anchors. i bought some torx head screws.
i came home and got the drill and torx bit out. i marked off my holes, and drilled the screws right in. no problem. i did put one washer behind each screw just to be sure i did not drill through the other side of he lid.
it came out perfect. thanx for the encouragement to do it. i guess i will have to think of another mod to do while i am down there. >:D

Way to go! ;D Knew you could do it. Now you should be ready to install a Whipple Supercharger or chop the roof. hehe I have some clips for the "small" maglite. Was thinking about doing that if I can figure out where I want to place it. May save that for STI-II so I can get a few opinions.

Is there anyone that lives in or around Savannah that knows of a paintless dent repair guy that would like to ply his trade in the parking lot of our GTG ?

I have an annoying ding in my drivers door that I want to take care of using this process, but maybe someone will want to work on our trucks there and show us how it is done.

DRL wigwags...Done on my 2002

Yesterday I installed 2 relays. Tapped power from each turn signal to the relay, cut into the drl wires and ran the two wires to the relay then grounded to body.

Now when I put on the turn signal, my drl wigwags with the turn signal. When I put the hazards on, both the turn signals and Drls wigwag.

This was a fairly simple mod to do.

Parts used...

2 Bosch relays Part #26-534B

1 (2) pack of Epoxy Rectifier Diodes Radio Shack part # 276-1141 3amp 50PIV

Misc wire taps, connectors, wire.

Power sources...

DRL Power...Blue Wire
Left Turn Signal...Light Blue Wire
Right Turn Signal...Dark Blue Wire

Wire connetions to relay... 87 is the normally opened and is not used!
* Note that the drl wire must be cut.

87a is normally closed...This will be the wire coming from the drl.
30...This is the other wire from the drl, the wire that comes from the fuse panel.
86...Ground to body.
85...Tap into Turn Signal power. (Install diode inline with the wire that you tapped. Make sure that the silver band on the diode faces the wire coming from the turn signal.

*Make sure that you disconnect your battery before you start your wiring.

Check all connections, reconnect battery, start your AV, then see the drl wigwag with the turn signal.

I hope this helps those who wish to do this mod.

Todd

Here you go . . . parts list and instructions (for the '02. '03 & '04 are probably very similar.)

bring on the SuperCharger!!

I'll start the search for wig wag parts. ...As the deadline nears, Sourmash must continue his struggle; facing a level of pressure that he did not expect to encounter when this odyssey began. Resolve and tenacity were words that came into his mind as he contemplated the difficult trek. Deep inside though, he was sobered by the knowledge that the word that described his feelings was fear! Why yes, he was simply scared $h*tles5...

I want all the mods;full time wig-wag drl;all 4 on with switch, trailer connection relocate; sail panel turn and brake lights, maglight mods and whatever else we may have time for;I just about have all the parts plus spares for whoever needs them.

That's funny:

2004 Z66 Sport Red WBH adopted 9/27/04 even though it has a hole in the roof and seats made from cows skin. :2:

I noticed that too!

Dan....you AV :B: may become a twin to Sourmash >:D

You don't need instructions... I'll be there and I have installed them five times!!! ;) (y)
This will give me a reason to buy the Cold Heat Soldering gun I have been wanting...

Save your money!, if you really need portable soldering tool get one of those "crack" torches they work great, just have to practice to not burn the insulation off of the wires you're soldering.
Just my 2 cents worth.

I already got the ColdHeat gun... It's works great, I have already used it a bunch of times and gotten my $20 out of it... (y) I like the torch ones but, I don't like playing with fuel or fire for that fact... Unless of course its a Firey Red Headed Lady!!! ;) >:D
