Do you ever see a lifted Av running around Hamilton?

Come on Intermountain Av's, lets work out a GTG someplace like Yellowstone. I think it would be awesome to show up in Yellowstone and Parade around the park in a bunch of Avalanches.

I would like to get something together either the end of July or the beginning of August. Most of us are only a few hours from the park. We could all meet at Old Faithful in the parking lot. We could get a lot of photos and also make a trip to The Grand Tetons and even Jackson.

Just think of all the attention we would get. The road to Jackson that goes right along the Tetons has a lot of pull-outs that have the Tetons in the back ground. We would have some killer photos for the CAFCNA photo album.

So all the are interested PM me so we can work out the details.

Thanks
Shane

A hearty welcome to codymac! Always glad to see a new member hit the board. :welcome:

It sure sounds like Shane is ready and raring to GTG, and I'd love to get to it myself, but I just got back from the national GTG last week, and I've got family coming next month. I'm going to be tapped out for pretty much the rest of the year, unless it was for a real quick, real cheap weekend. ;D Just don't count me out automatically, 'cause you never know.......

I am talking about a 1 day trip GTG. I live about 2/12 hours from the west entrance. I believe it is the same from Great Falls or Missoula. Kalispell is a mite farther away.

So lets see if we can get something planned.

By the way I am going to retire in Montana. I love the scenery and openness of it all. I have a real good friend in kalispell and another in Billings and Glasgow.

Shane,

I live close to Glasgow, and I'm afraid that a Yellowstone GTG is still out of reach for me right now. I think that it would be a great idea to have it, but the late spring would be a better time for me.

It seems that there are a few more members in the area than there have been, so let's keep in touch and see what we can work out. The National was my first GTG, and it was great. The AZ Avvers really put on a great event.

New Member and Owner Checking In!
Montanablackbear from Lincoln, MT.
Just bought our first AV, a black 2002! We rescued it from
Louisiana! (Still working down here, but should be back by mid Oct.)
Would love a GTG in Yellowstone or ????

I know Salt lake is a little far to drive, but if you are interested we are having a GTG there on Oct 4Th. We are going to go for a drive thru Butterfield canyon, then get some lunch and hang out. If that is to far, I can plan something here in Pocatello where I live for us to do. Or we could meet someplace in the middle. I plan on moving to Montana after my kids get out of school and move out. I have always loved Montana. Missoula is a bit big for my tastes. I like Glasgow and Kalispell.

So if you all want to have a closer GTG let me know and we can work out something.

Shane

Hi, I'm Montana Tracy (Tracy Hansen) from Billings.  My wife and I just newly purchased an 04 AV 1500 Z71.  I haven't been so excited about a vehicle in years.  I see it sort of like the sports car of the SUV/truck world.  This is a good site.  I'm glad I found it.

Welcome aboard, I am going to try and get the Montana and Idaho folks together in summer 09. Also we have an annual trip to Laughlin in Jan. I know it is a long drive. If you want to go i will wait and caravan with you down. We can meet the folks from SLC and drive with them also. Laughlin is an awesome trip and well worth the drive.

If you are up for it, we are having are 6Th annual Laughlin GTG on Jan 30-Feb 2ND 2009. We are having it this year at the Tropicana Express. Look at the thread for Laughlin. Last year we had 21 Avalanches there. I am going again this year along with 4 or 5 of the Utah members. We caravan together. It is about 1000 miles for you to drive. We can meet here in Pocatello and spend the night in SLC, before heading down to Laughlin.

Paul from Meridian checking in, though AVless for the moment -- will get that fixed very shortly!

Welcome to the club. Keep a look out for a Yellowstone GTG this summer. Any help you need with mods let me know I have done a lot on my 02.
