I'm out working around the house, using the garden hose to wash out the dog pen. I had a piece of 4 x 4 lumber leaning against the garage near the door where inside is parked Mellow Yellow. As I pulling on the hose to put it away, I feel it catch on something. I turn around in time to see it's the bottom of the 4 x 4 and its falling into the open garage door. Know how time seems to stop and everything goes in slow motion, thats what it was like as I watched the end 4 x 4 hit the lens of the rear tail light and put a hole in it
.
I'm a good 8 feet away, nothing I could do put watch
. After cursing myself for being so stupid I realized that I'm really lucky because anothe 1-1/2 and it would have got the tailgate and I'd be looking at $500-600 repair bill. As is I'm out $50-100 for a new lens assembly. Got to look on the bright side
The first scratch always hurts the most
