my 2007 avalanche transmission overheating

It would be helpful to get more info. What makes you think it's overheating? How many miles on it and when was it's last service? Does it overheat all the time or only under load?
Also welcome to the site!

I have 2007 LT, dash info I usually set to watch transmission temperature especially when towing. 180 about normal driving no towing 70-80degree weather. Highest I've seen on mine was 209 the pump usually kicks in 190 to 210 I believe.
I've always pulled over & let cool when towing & thought it was having trouble cooling in desert driving temp only that high towing on hills in desert hot days.
Check fluid level someone overfilled mine & along with shift minor issues, burning smell red fluid looks dark red cooked.
Lucky I caught & used rigid tube down fill port suction out the excess. Need to have fluid change and filter replacement now after finding out what was going on.
So what temperature was yours reading?
