my AEM brute force

Thanx guyz , it's very cool  i was testing my avy with silverado before i install the intake , the silverado much faster than me coz it's  Lightweight , but after the installation , i become more powerfull & passed him away ;)

Looks good Lion and sounds great I have one also I also notice more power in the midrange above 50 mph.    (y)

I put my AEM Brute Force on this weekend.   I almost hate to mention it but the installation instructions say to mount that tube below the radiator hose instead of over it (like you did) but if you have hood clearance, WTF.   I have certainly noticed the intake sound being louder - which I like - but I am waiting to see if it makes any difference in the MPG.   My seat-of-the-pants impression is that power is about the same (maybe a little less) but the throttle response is certainly better.   Hard to tell because I don't usually go around beating on it to see how quick it can go but now that I think about it, it may well be a little smoother in the power delivery so I don't notice it as much.   Hell, I dunno.   No dyno in my garage so what do I know.   At this point, I am certainly not displeased with the purchase.   The aluminum tube does suck up radiant heat when it is sitting there but I believe the increase in the volume of air makes up for that.   Not to mention that the tube is so thin that it can't hold that heat for very long.   It has only been on for two days and I refuse to check the computer meeting for MPG for at least 2 weeks to see what it says.   Will report when I know more.   As of now, that is the only mod I have installed.

Well, I waited for a few weeks and I have to say that the AEM Brute Force intake has been a decent addition.     Overall mileage has dropped marginally (less than .   5 mpg) but the trade off seems worth it.     Throttle response is slightly better but it still doesn't have much off the bottom - which is to be expected from a gargantuan truck, I guess.     Midrange and up seems more significantly improved with more effortless acceleration at highway speeds accompanied by that awesome sound.

Since cash is a little tight, I think I may try a simple throttle body spacer next just for kicks.     Anyone have an opinion about that?  Silly question, I know.   .   .

Ok. . .   After digging around, I think I may skip the spacer addition.   With the complaints of the whine and the many posts I read about providing no improvement, it doesn't seem like a worthwhile investment.

In theory it should have been a good Mod, in reality (n)
