Avi,
Here is what has worked for me with a lot of repairs on my trucks. Call an auto salvage yard/junkyard. Tell them the make and model of your truck, and the piece you need. If they have it, 9 times out of 10, they will pull the piece off their vehicle and have it waiting at their office for you when you get there. Then it's a simple process of replacing the one on your vehicle. There are 2 advantages to this way. 1. It's cheaper than going to the dealer to get the piece. 2. it is much more likely to match the rest of the cladding on your truck than a new one from somewhere. I deal a lot with Thompkinsville Auto Salvage in Thompkinsville, Ky. It's a respectable business with a good reputation that deals a lot in Chevy trucks. The broken piece should just pop out, and the new one pop in. If you need any help with that, I am not far away and we can get together and fix it. Or, get the piece and come down to MCM in Nashville. I guarantee there will be people there that will be able to replace the piece with no problem. Hope this helps hun.
