My drivers seat has lost its mind

I've had problems with fron / back switch in the past. First it would go about half way forward stop, then if you pushed the switch like to reverse it, it would continue forward. Push it forward to go back half way and then reverse to continue. Then one day it just worked normally. Then it started only going 2/3 of its travel forward, making it so my wife couldn't drive it. Then my mirror fell off and I detached it from the cable. My keys were still in the ignition, so I removed them, the seat took off going all the way forward. And now after remounting the mirror , the seat is doing the full travel but you have to use the switch backwards again.. forward to go back and back to go forward. This seat is nuts.. must be a bad programming module somewhere.

Sounds crazy to me too. My seat one motor died so whole bottom seat had to be replaced as GM design didn't make any way to replace individual motors on seat control.
I'd speculate try cleaning control with rubbing alcohol usually evaporate quickly helps not shorting something. Just disconnect battery before so dosnt arc power to places not intended.
Good luck sorry I'm not familiar with the seat wiring as I haven't had to tackle problem there as of yet.
I'm needing to soldier inside my instrument panel to get info screens back on they went blank recently.
Going to check as many areas as possible when taking dash apart even bought new led bulbs, and lighting control box since taking apart anyhow.

I had my console guages go out (mainly the gas guage) I could have done the resolder method but brokedown and just ordered anew one from rock auto... that was a simple replacement.

I had keys in as tried removing & the bumps made darn screens start working again 🤦‍♂️. I still removed & soldered new chip in board Q16 or 26? You tube has good video how to fix I was able to easily fix.
Only thing was Guage needles I marked & put back same place, after power restored they jumped & zero moved 2mm. I had to remove again to adjust all the tiny bit.
Working well zero problems now. I did drain my battery replacing lights control box forgot check settings dome lights ran all night.
Previous owner glued tabs they broke replacing b4 I'd assume, dash cracked and busted in many areas I hadn't seen or known about. Hopefully junkyard dash find or ill invest in new unbroken plastic dash
