My Pioneer Avic Z2 install.

So far I love it.  Looks and works awesome.

The mapping is awesome and all I have to do is talk to it.  Ipod control is a little slow when searching.  Haven't had time to register with Sirius yet  :E:.  Backup cam needs some tweeking but works nice so far.  Getting Bluetooth phone soon and will test Bluetooth functions then.

Some pics...

1st one is factory radio next is removal......

Nice tunes dude!

I love my Z1, especially with the bluetooth. You'll love your Z2 even better with it and the satellite.

How is the camera working out? I know on mine, I had to adjust the brightness down and max the contrast. Lemme know if you need help.

BTW, here is my Z1 in my TDI:

Sweet!? Looks awesome.

They installed the camera above the handle in the bezel instead of below the handle.? So it see's alot of the sky.? They are ordering me a new bezel so they can remount it below the handle.? They didn't have a DVD player that would play the CD while installing it.

How do you adjust the contrast?

BTW my installer said "not to brag......but the Pioneer camera has a better picture"  we'll see after mine  properly mounted.

They didn't mount the camera like this?

Also, I've seen the pioneer cam, and while it may be true that the daytime picture may be slightly better, the nighttime performance isn't nearly as good as the camera I sold you. I think you'll be surprised.

As for the contrast, you are right, you only have a brightness control. On the CUBBYCAM monitor you have three adjustments to fine tune.

Keep us posted!

Night shots on the pioneer is awesome even with no light.  Maybe yours has the nighttime mode??  Sorry but it's been a long while since I've seen night shots of yours.  Anyway, to all their own.

hmmm D3 or Z2...decisions decisions decision..... :E:
Z2 for sure. Larger screen and looks like it has more features. But it is more expensive. Does the D3 use a Nav Disc. I see that the Z2 uses 30gb hard drive for Nav. Sweet.

The D3 does use the disk.  There are reports of the Z2 over heating and dying.  I suppose its due to the hard drive and all.

I love the look of the Z2.  Anyone know if there's a shop in Northern California (Bay Area too) that is giving AV member discounts??  >:D
