All of those things sound awesome and are looking great!!! And plans for your old 50"?

No plans for the old setup yet.
It's sitting in the garage at the moment while I figure the route I want to go with the new one

If those LEDs are truly 6400 lumen I hope you are planning on using projectors with them so you don't blind everyone...

How much did they cost you and where did you get them from?

Might be nice to try them in the fog lights...

They are 3200lm per bulb and yes they are nice and bright.
I put them on a little before dusk yesterday evening and could actually see them on in front of me. Can't say the same for my HIDs.
I do intend to get projectors come summer as I have a project planned to take apart my headlights add projectors and possibly amber halo rings and/or demon eyes.
I suspect I might need different bulbs though as these are designed for 9006 housing which won't work with the projectors I'll get. Same reason why I can't fut them in the fogs although the plan is to possibly get 880 LED bulbls for the fogs.

On the other hand I envision problems with the LED bulbs in the foglight housing.  Even though our trucks aren't low, the fog lights are still low enough for dirt and dust to get kicked up into the bumper and eventually into the cooling fan that will be in the LED bulb housing. It will only be a matter of time before the fan is damaged unless I can seal it off somehow while still allowing  air to get to the fan to circulate. Our vehicles are unlike cars that have a shroud under the bumper.

After witnessing your old setup at Nationals last year, I'd love to see a night shot to see how this setup compares.  For comparison, this is a shot I took of your old setup.

Here's some more shots of my old setup. I'll try to take a pic of the new set up from the same vantage point although without all the snow to see the similarities or difference.

Last night it snowed again. Just a bit less than an inch but I'm avoiding moisture until I seal it up completely and that has not been done yet so no testing again.
On the other hand I took the smaller LED bar apart again and experimented with options on how I'd like the LED strip placed. I settled with 2 LED strips and I'm hoping I'll get them to illuminate the LEDs and reflectors in the bar rather than shine outward. I'm looking to kinda get a uniform glow within the LED bar instead of the strip itself shining outward in a way similar to Wyotonka's I thought of putting 2 high power LEDs on both sides and let the reflectors do the rest but there is not enough space between the reflector and the exterior glass for that to happen. Anyway I was so busy trying to figure it out, I never got around to taking pics.
Hopefully I'll have the time to complete it tonight and have some images.

Just saw this sorry but if you go to sell that 50" I could come up with a trade or cold hard cash

No cubes. I don't have space to put them
What if you made it to replace the factor fogs? I'm not sure how that would work but would be cool!!!!
Side note my bumper is done being cut out today at 2:30 super excited and will be welding it together this weekend!

Looks great  (y) I might have a little more time to tinker now so I'll keep working at it for when I do the brake light. I stumbled upon another possible mod today...  :beating:

I mentioned this on Facebook but I wonder the legality of these light bars.

In Michigan there have been laws on the books that off road lights must be removed or covered when driven on the road. In Grand Rapids the police department was even required to cover the overheads when transporting the vehicles or when they are used for other than police business.

Although I am starting to see more and more trucks with off road lights mounted I wonder if they are not creating a "please pull me over" flag with just cause for improper lighting.

Also limited to 2 front facing white lights... But many run with fogs.. Not sure if my 3.5k fogs qualify as front facing white light... lol

And you still see some blue headlights when the police have been very vocal that you will get ticketed for them.

Might be a good idea to see what your local/state laws are for off road lights before getting them too integrated. Strobes can get you for trying to impersonate an officer but you may still be able to get into trouble for having off road lights...

Already checked my local laws and they are OK uncovered. I can even drive with the ones in the bull bar without and problems because they are within the height regulations. The one on the roof however cannot be used on the roads but still fine to have on the vehicle.

Recon Industries and a few other places make and sell opaque and translucent covers for the LED Bars. They are usually about 6",8", & 10" long and would require multiples to fit a 50" LED Bar. It can be done for a straight bar. The curved bar however doesn't have covers made for them yet.

I can make a custom lense also that you pull of the cover and drop into place to replace the current one

SO I modded the light bar a bit.
Now I think I want to redo all my switches in the truck as I am starting to have too many.
hmm.... I just had a thought . Think I need to hit up Dakotawilk to build me a switch Panel. with the Avalanche font too.

Deal! I was just thinking about that with mine I recently picked up a set of horns and those other lights I will be getting plus I want to have one for when I do rear backup lights and things like that plus either a roofrack light bar or a bunch of those other police cruzer lights.

So many side projects,, I have not had the time to do much to my truck.
Anyway this summer, the one mod I decided I must get done is to add projector headlights.
I've been wanting to do it for a while but with my HIDs flickering. I figured it was a waste of time.

Now with new advances in LED technology the possibilities are endless so I'm thinking of doing it again .

My first obstacle was getting the LED projectors from TRS.
Second is making the decision on whether to do single or dual projectors per headlamp. At $120 a pair of projectors, that's some money to spend.
Third obstacle is figuring out where a projector would fit in my high beam housing especially since I have already mounted my strobe bulb in the side of the housing.

Anyway I finally pulled the trigger and bought a pair of  Mini H1 projectors and they arrive in the mail today.
I'll look at it and determine if I should order a second set or not.

The next thing is LED bulb. I have no intention of going back to HIDs at this point so I am thinking of using LED bulbs with the projectors instead of HIDs.
That brings me back to the age old problem of folks (including me) putting HID bulbs in the halogen headlight housing and getting worse light output than before.

Well (I think) the good news is I finally found a LED headlight bulb that has adjustable focal length. It is a bit more expensive but I think it is worth it.
The thinking behind the process is sound. This bulb has a spring loaded ring around the base of the it with a locking hex nut. You can adjust the spring tension to adjust how far the LED is within the projector housing and by so doing fine tune the ideal location of the light source.

I'm thinking this may just work but I got  to at least try it outside the lamp housing to see how it goes before taking my lamp apart.

Also thing of adding some LED strips in a pattern of my own choosing. I just have to figure out how I want it so it does not look cheesy.

Keeping my fingers crossed on this one and hoping it works just as I envision it to.
Now to go find the money to purchase these LEDs.

Oh btw, if thse work, my current 9006 LED headlights will be going on the market.

In other news, 1 of my bikes is almost done. The Full Suspension bike is in dire need of a new shock versus the cheap spring it came with. It will still need a few more odds and ends down the road but those are not of as high a priority as an air shock is.
The hardtail will also be getting new shifters new front derailleur, handlebar grips and fenders before I consider it done for this year.

Did you go with the new VLED bulbs? Those look impressive.

I am trying to figure out what to do with my JW Speaker projectors. I may end up mounting them behind where the headlight normally mounts and using the headlight bucket as a trim piece that slides over it. Still looking at my options. Means I would cut most of the headlight bucket off and just leave the front for looks and need to trim out a ABS or Acrylic piece to make it look somewhat factory. May also cut out the divider between the buckets, mount them close together and maybe have room for an LED cube...

So I went into the bike shop downtown today and broke down and had them fix it this go round, (it needs new just about everything) and seeing how I'm new to this I thought I'd leave it to them. However, while I was in there I saw a specialized fat bike that was insane. 3k is a little much to swing for a bike at the moment though so it stayed  :E: I was amazed that even with the frame and tire size they still weigh in around 30 lbs.

Well bike #1 is done for now. I installed air shocks with lockout capabilities yesterday to complete the package and boy does the ride feel different. Now the front suspension feels a little too squishy for my liking so I'll probably get a new front fork later down the road.
