Last night I hauled out some trash using the Avalanche little did I know that It had been a while since my buddy had taken his out and we got maggots in the back of the AV :9: :7: :E: It was nasty. Going to spray out the back today! So what is the worst thing you've ever hauled in YOUR Avalanche.

I have done the trash with maggots thing :D: But worse, was probably some wild boar heads I was taking in for mounting after a hunting trip :-X

My Daughter and her Significant Other moved recently. She asked if I would help out, since I have this big truck and all.

Everything was moving along until we tipped over the couch so that it would better fit along with a few other items in the backend. About that time she found out why the litter pan had been so clean for the past few days. Seems the Cat had found a better place to use. You got it the underside of the couch.

I was watching the Boy Wonder Significant Other, who was just kicking the stuff out of his way, while he was still trying to load the couch into the AV. Next thing he heard was "Whoa buddy that thing is not staying in my truck!" I drove over to the Dumpster and deposited it right there!

Next thing out of his mouth was "You're buying us a new couch, right." Reached into the back seat and handed him 2 Camping Chairs. Reminded him that the chairs belonged to me and that the cat had better not use them.

His look was priceless.

grass clippings

Wait wait......

My wife in her infinite wisdom >:Dhad cut the grass and put the clipping in clear plastic bags. Not bad right? :2:Well they sat in my front yard for almost a week. SEALED in 90* + heat. They had turned to a mix of grass and a liquid substance. The bags ripped open in the back of the truck. The ?liquid? was the foulest smelling thing I have EVER smelled. :D:I had to wash the entire truck 3 times, leave the covers off the bed for a week, and I still catch a whiff every once and a while. :D: :D:

Are you still married? >:D

Thanks! But it gets even better.

He complained to my Better Half about what I had done. (They never learn that the divide and conquer thing does not work with Parents do they?)

She looked at him and said "That is terrible. I guess you kids will need to get a new couch. Honey on your way to the new apartment will you drop Boy Wonder off at the Furniture store?? Well now I have to tell you his face was just lighting up the room with one of those "Ha Ha you have been trumped!" looks. Then she says "Pick out the one you want, ask them if it is in stock, and could we take it today." WOW the room was beginning to be so bright I was sure we were going to become blind from the sparkle.

On the way out of the Driveway, she yelled to him "Don't forget to fill out an application for a loan, and get a good interest rate!"

WOW the inside of the AV was so bright from my pearly whites, he never said a word! Nor did we stop at the furniture store.

Is this what they mean by the "Joy of Parenting" >:D

Maybe but he is only the Significant Wonder. Hopefully she will awaken from her self-imposed veil of unable to see through the mist in time to realize what we her parents have been seeing. But then again has any Father been totally accepting of the Significant Wonders?

All these replies and not a single mention of hauling wife/in-laws/etc ;)

We are AV owners! We are smarter than we look. We know that our Better Halves look at this board from time to time, so why ask for trouble.

But now that you mention it, I guess that hauling the Boy Wonder was more nasty than the couch with it's Cat Backside applied!

Hmmmmm ...... A couch that has been mod'd with a Cat Backside in my truck, think that can be considered another Mod having been on my AV?

Hmmmmm nastiest thing I have hualed would be my three year old after playing at the beach......eating candy and not letting us clean her up......falling asleep with some juice in her hands.......that was the nastiest thing...and it was inside the truck!

When I remodeled our old house, I made a few trips to the city dump. I had large trash cans filled with old horse-hair plaster and lathe. I also had old carpet, ceiling tiles, and windows.

Nothing as smelly as cat pi$$, but it was dusty and messy.

Returned for replacement,12 (almost dead) 5 gallon Soft Touch Holly plants to Home Depot.

Hey ;)....the dirt around the plant roots and in the plastic bags was.....Nasty.

Taken several loads to the dump... probably the worst was a load that had over a 55 gal. drum worth of wet grass that was molding and decomposing. it left a thick green slime on everything it touched... I am very glad I threw a huge tarp down in the bed before I loaded everything up.

The piece of s*#t rider mower that keeps taking all my moding money away. $400 here, $100 there, another $150 for this, $200 for that. Cripes!!!! I think it's time for more pavement!
