Navigation for 05 AV's

If so...Sperry will probably be amongst the first to find out!!! (y) (y) :B:

Hmmmm, that would be easier with someone else's Av and $$$$!

If it's a combo XM radio/touchscreen GPS, I would buy it at just about any price.

No matter how much it added to my monthly payment it would be worth it!

They'll likely keep the XM as a seperate module until they do what they're planning with OnStar. (Most every vehicle.) Then maybe it'll be inside the radios...

But who knows what the General will do for sure...

It's operation is integrated into the screen anyway - you wouldn't notice if it's an internal module or the external module behind the glovebox..

XM's on the bottom; OnStar's on the top.
(As they are now...)

The STS (If I remember the particular model correctly) will offer a 4-color heads up IP - INCLUDING the NAV!
I wonder how they'll do touch screen?
Try changing that cluster!

An organic LED HUD for the AV would be really cool, and combine that with a navigation center and you'll never need to stop for directions ever again (not that we do anyway...) :B:

My wife and I just drove my Avalanche from Alaska to Florida. I could have used an onboard navagation system many times. I had a laptop plugged into an inverter, but that is cumbersome, and my wife doesn't understand the applications I was using very well, so it would have been nice to have an ONS.

How much do they run, ballpark?

I ordered my '05 1 week ago and I got the TNR with AM/FM, CD, XM, Dvd and Onstar. The only option not available with the TNR is the 6 Cd changer. The dealer ordered the vehicle and it didn't throw it back it to his face so I am assuming everything in the above statement will be installed in the truck.

Very cool. You better post pics!

And about the 6 CD changer - I wouldn't worry about losing that, since I got XM I never use my CD player.

Ditto! Except in those far West & North areas of AK..

Get out the fingerprint cleaner! (Or does it come with gloves or stylus?)

With the "new" worn off, I seldom use it. But that's just for now. It's been really handy finding those industrial shops and fast food...

 the new amp and the XM display!
