Having issues with brakes. Bought this AV after it had been sitting in a field for 4 years. Brakes lines completely rotted out and calipers shot. I replaced all lines, pads and calipers, bled the system, and the pedal still goes down to the floor. Solid pedal before starting and running nothing. Help?

When my brake lines blew out a couple of years back the AV sat for a year before I had time to replace them. I found out the seals in the master cylinder were bad.

How I did mine was to bleed the master cylinder first( bench bleed) , then pressure bleed the proportioning valve(if you have one). Next pressure bleed the abs module. I took the old fittings and cut off the line and left about 3 inches so I could put a clear plastic tube on it.

Now do the right front then left front then the right rear then left rear.
Remember if you stop seeing air bubbles keep applying the pressure until your sure that all the air is out.(a rubber mallet helps dislodge the air bubbles). Don't let the master cylinder go dry while you are doing this procedure.

Now the brake pedal may travel almost to the floor while it resets the pads against the rotors just keep pushing it slowly over and over until it becomes firm. Then find a safe place to drive it then the pedel will slowly come back up.

I had to push around 96 ounces of fluid through it to get all the air out.

I was wondering, what is that pump looking thing that connects to the master cylinder with a hose? I checked it out today and found no power going to it Do you happen to know what it's called? Thanks a bunch!

what year do you have?

you have power brakes that get hydraulic boost from Power steering pump.

No more Vacuum booster
