I am having problems with my amp not shutting down when I shut the truck off. I assume this is because the remote wire isn't tapped into the right place. I have an 02 and the OEM HU. The amp is Kicker ss40 and it lights up like it is getting power at least a red led is lighting up, but it won't shut off when I shut the truck off and will immediately run down my battery. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

;D it's a wiring problem for sure can't see it so can't really give advice except buy a cheap swith at a local auto parts store place the swith in a easy spot to reach.

turn the switch off before you turn off the truck.

or take the truck into a local stereo store and ask them to diagnose the wiring?

Good Luck! :B:

yea its the turn on lead or "remote wire" if you want to fix it you should pull out the radio and tape into the turnon for the radio. the wire color varies year to year but if u look at the redio from the top, its the second wire from the left on the top row. chances are its a green wire
