Beautiful day here in Northern Virginia so I thought I would install my transmission cooler. Just had the lines replaced so I figured no problem. The SOBs used a regular c clip with no way to get a pick or small screwdriver on it.
I’m at my wits end. I’ve got my dremel out but before I try cutting it off. Can I unscrew it from the radiator? If so what size wrench? 19 mm seemed a hair loose and couldn’t get an 18 on.
Thanks for all the threads on getting the grill off that went fine.
Please help me I’ve been at this for 5 hours now.

When I replaced the radiator in my 2003 a few days ago, I was reading the reviews of the radiator I was shopping for.

A few of the buyers had complained that the port hardware for the radiators they bought was not installed, but in a bag that came with the radiator.

With that in mind, I must assume that the port hardware can be unscrewed and removed.

The transmission cooler ports were already installed on the radiator I purchased.

I have had to tighten the oil cooler ports on the radiator in my EXT.

Using a crescent wrench on that large nut did the trick.
