Hi all new to the forum. just wanted to introduce myself and truck. i have an 07 4x4 with 370k miles. it is my project truck. so far all i have done is rebuild the engine with dod delete ls9 valve train parts updated valve cover and gm non dod cam ect. I'm unfortunately still running my range device and yes I still have the oem valley cap plugged in until I get a tuner. Future plans include a remaned 4l65 with the basic updates/upgrades will will be done next month? . I just lost the gauges and I am sending the cluster out for a rebuild this week and the fuel pump just died. I knew what i was getting into when I bought the truck 4 years ago I have owned nothing but Chevy trucks and this is my fourth. 89 z71 5 speed, 93 yukon gt lifted on 39.5s with a manual 4 speed swap, 97 soco Silverado and now my 07 avalanche. the big issue I am having is I had the harness get cut by the front drive shaft and have not repaired the wires yet because I cant identify the wires I repaired the the o2 sensor wires but nothing else yet. there is a green and a green and white along with some tan wires . It looks like it goes to the plug right below the driver side front door but the connector is missing. I can not post pics yet but any help as to what the wires go to and if I need a connector from gm would be appreciated maybe a link to an harness diagram.

Welcome to the club!
Wish I could help you out but I'm an 02 owner. I'm sure there's someone here who has the answers.

thanks I am going to search that site after work. I found a bad fuse on the fuel pump. when I replaced it the truck runs terrible. so I am getting a fuel pressure tester today and taking it from there. the whole 5.3 ly5 engine is new to me so I have a lot to learn.

that worked i just down loaded the whole file to a thumb drive. i need to get the male 8 terminal connector located at the c300 location. this also explains 2 of my 4 codes. thank you.

+so now I am going down a different worm hole . I have figured out all my electrical harness issues I just need to splice an ac Delco part# pt2869 into the harness and that will clear most of my codes including bank 2 o2 issues and evap canister issues. but I just broke my old dod valley cap that was still plugged in and zip tied to the fire wall.....yes I know I need a tuner but I made some mistakes in doing the delete including trusting the people at range who said that I can use the (no dod) range device after the delete well that is sort of true you can but you need to keep the old valley cap plugged in.. I'm a dumbass for not doing enough home work.

Does anybody know how the computer reads the dod valley cap solenoids? is it resistance and an ohm value or is it just a closed or open circuit? if it is just an open and closed circuit type deal i am going to make a bypass harness adapter until I can get my tuner. if it has not been done already this might help people who just want to turn off the dod completely by taking the actual solenoid out of the loop. Im sure I could solder resistors to replicate the resistance but i would have to ask some of the people i work with hoe to do that.
