Need Help w/ Tire size on 22'

Then go with a real nice set of 20's. Still look awesome, are very different from stock, and both the wheels and rubber are less money

I second that motion....20's are the best of all worlds. More/better control than with a 16, 17, or 18 inch wheel, without all of the ride issues associated with a 22 or 24 inch wheel....20's get my vote.

Just bought a 2008 LT. The previous owner installed 22” Cadillac Escalade wheels and put a 2” spacer but installed 305/45R22’s. The Cadillac Escalade comes with 285/45R22‘s but a coworker says based on how much it’s rubbing I should go with 275/40R22’s.
shouldnt the Escalade tires fit on it or do they have different suspension heights?

I'd just pull the spacer off the fronts. You shouldn't have much rubbing on a 305/45/22 The stock 22" wheel has a +31mm offset, adding a 2" spacer effectively changes that offset to -20. pushing a 305 that far out is going to cause rubbing on the lower bumper support on both sides and probably the area where the parking brake cable drop is on the driver's side and likely the pinch weld area just inside the fender liner on the rear of the passenger front wheel well.
I'd start with pulling the spacer and see what type of improvement there is before buying new rubber. I know a pile of people with Yukons/Avalanches/Suburbans that run a 295/40/22 without rubbing and many that have very minimal rubs and/or done very light mods to eliminate rubs and run 305/45/22s. If you do decide to ultimately go to a smaller tire you definitely don't need to go down to 275/40. that's way too small, it's smaller than all tires that were available from the factory in 08' of 265/70/17, 265/65/18, 275/55/20 and 285/45/22.

I'm running Radar Renegade R5 M/T 305/40/22's on my cladded 06 and I have no rubbing issues at all. It is a Z71 so I'm not sure if that makes a difference. Unfortunately they don't make the 305's anymore, so I'll be purchasing the 33x12.5 R22 instead. Pretty good tires, lasted almost two years and 40K, I'll take it.
