Not at all. I think the hardest part of the whole project was yanking the plastic loom clips off the old hitch
Just unhook any wire looms running along the hitch, unplug the trailer plug, the plug assembly itself untwists out of the socket on the hitch. After all that it's nothing more than unscrewing the bolts. If I recall it's two bolts right above the hitch area and two large bolts on either side where it connects to the frame. I'd recommend dropping the spare so you have room to work but I don't think it was required. It was a few years ago but I think it was somewhere around $200-250. And for what it's worth, I don't own an impact wrench and was able to do everything by hand. Some pounding was involved for the stiff bolts but they broke free pretty easily.
