My sister is looking for a 04 AV and we spent 2.5 hours at the dealers haggeling over price.

When I bought mine in DEC of 02 I paid $250 under invoice.

The guy first came back with the msrp price minus the rebate for the cost. I asked him if he thought i was some kind of idiot and was going to pay msrp for the truck.

I got him down to what he said was invoice price but it sounded high. $32888 for a 04 basic 4x4 and the only thing it had was the rear locking differental. I told him that i thought that it was too high and i wanted him to print out the invoice for me but he said "for some reason he can't type this one out but can type one reasonalbe close too it" I think he is full of crap.

I went to chevy.com but can not find invoice pricing just where to find the build a truck but that is msrp pricing.

Also if someone has one of those certificates that maybe they could give me or something it would be greatly appreaciated.

Thanks,
RON

Ron, I would try edmunds.com . I know that isn't exactly what you were asking for, but I just used that site to get invoice prices for a new vehicle for my wife this weekend. The give you retail/invoice/ and what others are paying. And they were right on with what the dealer told us. We even got quotes from area dealers for the same vehicle. We just picked the best deal, and wallah. No hassles. Very cool way to buy a car.

Thanks OviedoAV, I will check it out

According to the GM Family First website, the employee price for a base model 4x4 with locking rear diff would be $30, 896.18 +$850 destination charges (this does not factor in rebates). Employee pricing is 3 or 4% below invoice (someone who works for GM, correct me here). HTH
