I have no emergency brake now-the cable and lever in the cab work but things in the rear wheels has no effect. How much of a job is it to put in a new one? This is on my 2003 1500 Avy WBH with 200,000 miles. Any advice would be appreciated.

If you just need to do the rear E brakes it's super easy. The tricky part is working the shoe over the hub. But it's really not that difficult. Also make sure to adjust the brake before putting it all back together by sliding on the rotor making sure that it touches just a bit. I got quoted 300 bucks to do the E brakes that's when I decided to do it myself for under $100

I removed my ebrake shoe on both sides since they were riding on inside of rotor hat and I saw potential for them to cut thru and cause big issues.

Also they never really worked.
And I never use them anyway.... just put her in Park... flat land down here in MS.
