Netural Light stuck on 4WD

OK, I did a search a found a thread on this but it seems that the "service 4 wheel drive" error code light had come on.

My netural light is stuck on and I don't have any error codes. I can not put it in 4 H or shift it out of netural. The truck drives fine just can't use the 4 wheel drive. It just happended, started the vehicle and the red netural light is on. It had not rained, nothing else that could have casued a short or anything like that, it just was there.

I am going to run it in to the dealer today but was wanting to know what could have caused this and if anyone else has had the same problem. I have a 03 Z71.

I had this happen. It will go out after a while. Its a programming flaw in the system. The dealer has some kind of patch that fixes it. It only takes a few minutes for the fix.

Took it to the dealer this morning and that is exactly what they did, reprogramed the computer. Thanks
