Pleeeeeeeese help! :help: I am soo frustrated :E:

There are many ways to add power. Forced Induction is the best way to go.  I'm sure it will definately void your warranty, but it's worth it. Be prepared though.....it is highly addictive and can be very costly. >:D

Figure out what your power goals are and we can all help guide you into the darkside :p

BTW welcome to the club :welcome:

What exactly do you mean by power goals? What are options? Sorry for the stupid questions, im new.

More towing power, light to light racing, drag racing. Then there are different types of superchargers, turbos, nitrous to accomplish your goals.

May as well start planning for the new transmission while you're at it!

Maybe even a diff or 2........or 3 :beating:

I didn't want to mention transmission right away.......didn't want to seem like I'm trying to drum up business. :p >:D

Why is that? and i will only be racing my friends trucks and stuff so i guess drag racing.

The transmissions in these trucks are not very strong. When you add more power to them they tend to break. You can start with a shift kit, Sonnax servos, and program harder shifts with a programmer. That will help the trans hydraulically to handle more power, but the next problem is parts being strong enough to handle the load.

Because the transmission is a weak link, even without upgraded power, racing and hard use will eat it up pretty quickly.

That's why I mentioned it.  Good of you to show restraint :)

Probably the best bang for the buck, short of going FI would be a good custom tune from a tuner that will tweak it for you as you make other mods.

that sounds like his best bet if he's on a budget

what will the tune do, and how much does that cost

Check out this link:

A custom tune can increase increase your power and drivability.

Do alittle research on the forum... there's lots of info thats easy to find on tuners etc. You'll see plenty about the hypertechs, the flash tuners and the handhelds. Not being harsh at all but do alittle research then you'll havre a better idea of what you want. Guys here like to help you get what you want not tell you want you want
