Yes...sorry for going overboard with the pics.
You don't know the trouble I went through to get this.
I put a deposit on this vehicle Thursday afternoon. Friday afternoon I'm told by the dealer that the vehicle at the other dealership (in Altamonte Springs, FL), where he was supposed to go get it was sold.
Long story short, I call the dealership in Altamonte Springs Saturday afternoon at 4:00 pm out of curiosity. Vehicle was still available. I start dealing over the phone. At 8:30 pm the dealership calls back and agrees to all my terms, financing, everything. Off we went Saturday night to stay in a hotel 3 hrs away. Picked up the vehicle yesterday morning.
If I would have never called this dealership I wouldn't have the car right now.
Ran into exactly the same situation! Found a new Yukon XL on GMBuyPower that we liked, took that sheet to our local dealer (liked them so far when we took the Av for service) and were told that it hadn't shipped yet and was still in Mexico. To make a long story short, the past 2-3 weeks have been nothing but daily calls between us and the dealer, our saleslady usually telling us that it still hadn't shipped yet and the other dealer wasn't sure if they wanted to get rid of it when they did get it eventually.
So we waited and waited, now that the screwy GM rebates are in effect, and finally found out today that "it looked like it arrived". She supposedly couldn't get the other dealer to call her back and "thought" it was probably sold. Then a couple hours later, called back and said that it was sold, bought by someone "from the company" (whatever the heck that means).
Well, remembering the ordeal you went through to get your new Av recently, I took it upon myself to call the actual dealer that it was at. First call he said he was going out to the lot to actually put his hands on it and make sure it was there. Called me back two minutes later and said "Yes, it's here on the lot and is still available." Asked again and was told, "No, it isn't sold."
Our saleslady is really, really nice and I wanted to like her, but she seems to have made up more stories than she's worth! So it's either time for a new salesperson or a new dealer! Calling first thing tomorrow morning and asking what the real story is....
We would just go straight to the other dealer but it's about 2 hours away and we just don't have the time. Then again, it'd probably be worth it to get away from our sales-liar!
