:)Hi fellow member I will like to get recomendations on
the best brake pads available for the AV 1500.
THANKS :)

Mandy,
First of all how many miles do you have on your current brake pads??

If you are going to replace them because they are making noise be sure to take a visual and see if they need to be replaced. The pads the Av comes with are very good and last a long time. They are made of ceramic material and go on for many miles.

From what we have been seeing the brakes in the back have been wearing out first before the front.

I currently have over 77,000 miles and both the front and back brakes still look good.

Good luck,

??? My Av is a 2002 1500. I have currently about 42,400 miles on it. I tow my boat on the summer about 4,800 pound, my neighbor is a Firestone tech and he informed me that ceramic pads are hard on disks.
he recomended Wagner semymetalics or the factory ones. The Av is going to the dealer today to get a diagnostic for the ebrakes. The dealer were I brough the truck does not want to fix the Ebrake problem they say it is tear and weare. I called Gm costumer service and made a big stink so they called another dealer and made and appointment for mi, I will post the results.
