I've updated both the dealer and the owners brochures. The cover art is now in color (as requested) in red, white and blue. The new logo is featured on the back and the copy has been updated to reflect some of the changes on the site.

You can find the brochures on the Resources home page. Just click the link that says Resources below the banner ad (look up - you'll see it).

Good luck to all - and make sure you let your dealer know about the club. We need a lot more GM involvement!!!

;D ;D ;D

When I go to open the new brochure it comes up w/an error saying "Could not find the ColorSpace named 'Cs8' " I dunno if this is an error due to my browser/version of adobe/etc or if it was due to something when you changed the brochure. To sum it all up, I can't see the Avs on the brochure.

Just thought I'd bring it to your attention in case other people get the same problem.

Got no problem here, using Reader 4.0...

Also, the Pewter AV is missing from the pictures....an oversight??? ???

I cannot recreate - HOWEVER - I did save this in a new format. Instead of being optimized for screen display it is now optimized for print out. This was due to the many complaints of grainy graphics. I'm willing to bet that stored as ready for print more parameters are saved, and if you don't have some font, or palette from some software application then it might be zinging you. I need more feedback from other folks...

Great job on the revised brochures. I had no trouble saving them to the hard-drive or printing them out. I did, however, have to upgrade my 'Acrobat-Reader' to the latest version in order to view the new graphics. No biggie.

Now, I don't mean to criticize as both of the brochures are great but, there is one tiny little "typo" on page 2 of the "Enthusiasts-Brochure". It really is just a little thing but, if you want it to be perfect I'll point it out to you, here.

After you have folded the brochure into it's tri-fold form, let's call the full-color front page one. Now, turn over to page 2 and under the heading "THE BEST OPTIONS COME FREE",
in the second paragraph down, the second sentence reads...
"Some come for the wealth of
information, others while others
come for the community, but
we all share an affinity for the
Chevrolet Avalanche."
.

I believe that may be one too many others.

But, it's such a little thing, maybe it's not even worth fixing?

Otherwise, they lool just Maaahvelous!!

Oh! And if you are thinking of adding another Av-graphic to the front page... I see "dreimer's" already voting for his favorite color... but, that would just look gray on the paper,...
I vote for "Forest-Green". It does look like there is room for one more Av pic.

Thanks again, Chief.

Osprey - thanks for the catch on the error. It's not minor it's major, HUGE as it reflects on the club and the site. I've already made the change and uploaded a new version.

EVERYONE - if you've downloaded the new brochure please check them for this mistake. If it has it please throw them out and print out new ones.

Sorry!

Chief . . .

Then new brochure looks great.

My old Acrobat 3.0 returned the same 'colorspace' error noted above. I updated to 5.0 and no problems now. It all comes through in living color !!

Real nice . . . thanks

Ok Chief. No prob.

I'll go and download the corrected edition.

BTW... For those of you who were having problems with viewing the new graphics, just go to the "Adobe" site and download/install the latest version of Acrobat-Reader 5.?, whatver their up to now. It worked for me. 3.? did not work.
I don't know about the 4.? version, I never had it.

You'll find a link to that 'Adobe-Acrobat-Reader' on the "Resources" page of this Fan-Site, right where you found the brochures.

Thanks again, Chief. I was kinda thinking you'd see it as unacceptable. Glad I was able to catch it before too many people had downloaded it. :)

You're doing a fantastic job with all of this.

"Hail to the Chief" ;D

I downloaded them today and had no problems with them. The error described in prior posts is directly related to the enhancements that have been built into the newer version of Acrobat (5.0) which produces far superior graphics then previous versions. When reading these PDFs with previous versions of the reader the color/graphic rendetions become out of synch with its source and the error message pops up. Sometimes you can go ahead and ignore the message and procede normally but sometimes you will not be able to get the graphics or some of the text to display properly. The solution as stated by some of the other folks here, is to download the latest Acrobat Reader 5.X. You can download the free player from:

http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html

Hope this helps.
