Well I managed to get a great deal on a 2004 5.3 with only 60K on it for 1200, that includes everything. My beast has 196K on it now, still runs great but this winter shes getting the transplant. If anyone has any tips I should look into that'll make this easier (I'm doing this myself) I'd appreciate it.

Pics and more pics, labeling, you tube is your best friend.
I'm sure others will follow.

Not sure on your methods I prefer to take as much off the front as possible.
radiator, grill. ext.  I'm not as pliable as I use to be I'll remove the front wheels
and lower down with something under so it is not resting on the rotors.

Have you check out some of the detailed threads on here.
