New GMC Hummer EV

I want one!! It will be $70 -$80K or more depending on options...

Zero to 60mph in 3 seconds... That's supercar territory...

No mention of a mid-gate. 👎

Exactly. If I had cash to blow for a toy, sure, but no mid-gate, no sale!

And at the insane price point, I'd rather go buy a 2006 Hummer H1 Alpha.

If they were selling riverboats today for a nickel apiece, all I could do would be run up and down the bank hollering "Ain't that cheap!"

Pretty truck, though.

it has a slight avalanche side profile, wonder why they didn't include a mid gate. with a power rear window, the glass would always be protected. its cool, but not $115,000 cool. lol

I'd go Rivian if I was insistent on electric, or Tesla if I wanted an electric car.

what is range?
Re-charge time on normal 120VAC outlet?
Re-charge on I guess a super re-charge station?

Tis an interesting truck and looks good and man the features is amazing, crab steer, jack up suspension , It mentioned some unstuck feature?

this they said 300 for the base and 350 miles for the 3 motor version. 100 miles with a 10 minute charge. The "unstuck" feature is just button you press to get 6" lift

For the same amount of coin I go with the Bollinger. It has a mid-gate as well as a pass through to the frunk which makes it even more versatile than the Avalanche. That being said, I don't have that kind of coin for either of them so I'll just watch from the sidelines.

Now if my lottery numbers come through, I'll be all over the Bollinger, after I recover from the ensuing heart attach. >:D

There's a lot to like about that new Hummer EV, though I am disappointed to see no midgate. Maybe this tech will trickle down to a new Avalanche in the future with a midgate and price that is reasonable. Not holding my breath though.

LOL I wish

Seems like a nice truck, but if you were in the desert on a 3 day trail, how would you charge it?, it would be nice if they had a solar system that would charge the batteries constantly while driving. Hmm, makes me kinda wonder, I'm going to have to look into this project. lol

I bet you could pick up a solar charger at Harbor Freight for it.

:ROFLMAO:

It looks cool, reminds me of the original Avalanche concept (which is still awesome) with a T-top throwback to the '80s.

Dude...that's the best picture....EVER haha ❤️ ❤️ :p

100 miles of power in 10 minutes is about the amount of time a normal fuel stop takes, but did I miss how long it takes for a full charge like a normal truck?
So much for all night driving trips to get across the country.

40 minutes according to theverge.com https://www.theverge.com/2020/10/20/21525290/hummer-ev-electric-truck-gmc-price-specs-range

Impressive charge time, but it's no 31 gallon fuel tank that's for sure! I thought our tanks were large, but the F150s have a 36 gallon option.

My 1999 Suburban that I traded in for my 2004 EXT had a single 42 gallon tank.

It was nice to be able to bypass several stations to find the cheapest price.

Back then, gas was much more expensive than it is now.

At well over $3 a gallon, I tried to not let the tank get too low before filling up.

It just hurt my feelings to leave more than $100 at the gas station.

WoW! That is a big tank.

Yeah, they were all big like that back in the day.

Moving to the smaller tanks in our trucks took a little getting used to.

The gas mileage in that truck averaged 18 and my EXT averages 14.4.

With the worse gas mileage and smaller tank, I was having to visit the gas stations a lot more often.
