New headlight build 09 AV

old skool said:
Hey Ice9812  You keep changing headlights and I'm going to go broke trying to keep up. I really like those headlights. You have a picture of the cutoff?...and do the cutoff shields have to be rotated like the spyders? Can those lights be adjusted on the truck after they're put back together? Thanks.

Here's a pic of the cut off line

Both headlights

Driver side

Passenger side

Custom shields? Your 3.0's don't have the bowed cut off like the ones I had did. I had bought the parts to make custom shield for the ones I had but sold the retrofit before I had a chance to do it.

Yes you're correct I had a set of 3.0s for a hummer headlight build and I hated the bow so before I installed these I made sure to correct them.

Very nice. I just finished my latest retro about an hour ago.

Thank you.

It could be a frustrating process at times but worth it in the end.

I was told the 4.0 version is really nice with no bow but they're not offered in the square lens so that's why I went with the 3.0 for this project.

The 4.0's are pretty nice. I made a foreground limiter for them but that's about all I did that was custom on this build.

Looks good.

I see in your sig that you have the led fog lights listed..
Are you talking about these ?

If so how do you like them?
I just ordered a set, should be here tomorrow

Their ok. If your looking for hid bright your going to be disappointed. I have the yellow laminex on mine.

I'm not really looking for HID bright.... to be honest I just like how they look ;D

Holy cow ice that video is awesome! Got to admit I just put some silverstars in them and left it at that. I picked up a little 328 for a gas beater & to keep miles off the avy, and had to upgrade the halogens with a cheap hid kit. Massive difference. Got back in the truck this morning, and now its unacceptable. Now that I have an extra vehicle, I can take my time doing this...so Im bumping it, lol...

Hi,

I realize this post is a little older, but I just got the same headlights and was reading through it. I'm not able to see the pictures from the few posts saying that there are pictures, I'm not sure if that's because of my work firewall, or they've been taken down by the original poster.

I've never done a retrofit before, but I'm going to attempt. I'd like to see some of the pictures if possible. Not sure if it would be acceptable to email them, or re-link them or what.

Also, it was mentioned that the enclosure cap for the low beam would have to have a hole cut in it for the bulb (I'm assuming), could the original poster, or someone else that may have done this elaborate?

Thanks in advance,
Mike

You can thank Photobucket for the deletes. They want body parts for third party sharing.
