New March Rebate Announced

I have additional information:

The rebate dropped to $3000, BUT!

There is a new program called "conquest". You get a $1000 rebate (in addition to your $3K rebate above) if you buy a new GM product and can provide proof that you own a non-GM product (a copy of your registration will do).

So, the 4K rebate is still available, just in a different form.

(Less than a week to go for my new AV!)

The dealer who I bought my '03 from 10 days ago didn't think they would roll the $4000 over to March. He said he really thought that they would do the big rebate in Dec. or Jan. because nobody was moving any. The extra $1000 was a major incentive for me instead of waiting till summer...

Hmmm.....if I only I could convince the wife. :) But she doesn't want my AV. I have a '62 Thunderbird that I could show them registration on. :)

I still need to call the Chevy dealers that I visited in January to thank them. They low-balled me on my trade in, which resulted in me walking out of both dealers, and I was ready to buy that day. Then the rebate was increased from $2500 to $4000 a week later, on top of my Supplier discount, and I got a better price for my trade in from a fourth dealership. If you're in southeast Michigan, I'll recommend the dealer I went to if you send me a message.

Av's rule. Winter sucks.

Do you have to trade that non-GM vehicle in, or just prove you own something else? I never heard of this program. Thanks for the info!

Where did you hear or read about this new "Conquest "program? I talked to my dealer tonoght and they didnt know anything about. I need all the ammo I can get on the rebates.

Thanks

My dealer called today and told me about it. (Since the $4K rebates ended on 2/28 and I'm picking up my AV on 3/8, we were going to have to back-date the paperwork in order to get the rebate.)

Since I own a non-GM product, he said I can take advantage of this brand-new conquest program. It just "came on the wire" (email?) today.

Ask your dealer to dig more.

If they can hide an extra rebate that is money in their pocket. Keep hammering away
Lot of times dealers will get (dealer incentives) and if they can sell you without passing it on, money in their pocket. When you press em they'll give it up if they want the sell

I just looked it up on Edmunds, and they said $3,000 rebate, plus an additional $1,000 if you currently own or lease a GM vehicle.

Just thought I'd post this, because it sounds different than when others said the extra $1k was if you didn't own a GM. I'm not sure which is true, but if it's both, then it's kind of $4k either way. Something tells me the Edmunds info. may not be right though.

It usually takes a few days for the latest info. to show up on Edmunds.

What is advertised everywhere is $1000 GM Loyalty for all present Gm owners and gmac customers. This is in addition to any current rebate. So for some $4000 still lives!

There is a 3000 rebate in effect for March, and also a 1000 dollar loyalty rebate if you own a GM vehicle until the end of March. Didn't hear about the 1000 non-GM incentive though. Will have to inquire with the dealer and see if they are hiding money from me. So still a 4000 dollar rebate any way you slice that pie. :D
