Hi guys. Just bought a 05 Avi Z71, 150k on the dial. loving the truck so far... feels good to be back in a Chevy.

She's in good shape, considering the age and mileage she's got on her, and the fact that she's been in Wisconsin almost all her life (according to the carfax)
Welcome to the group!!

Hi Everyone, I have been driving my Avalanche since new 2003 have 168,000 miles on it. Love that it seats 6 and has given me great service over the years, I can't part with it, although it stopped being my daily driver this year, (I have a new gas guzzling chevy for that. ) I want to keep it in good condition for many more years of towing, road trips, moving stuff etc. etc. etc.
I have found great info on this site over the years and thought it was time to join. Jackie
Welcome!!

Hey guys, I'm new here I've been poking around the forum for a few months and decided to join, I bought a 2002 Avi 1500 with 135k mi. back in December 2020. I'm in Long Island, NY. No crazy installs yet, replaced the water pump, new headlights, full led upgrade inside and out, pod lights and light bar, remote start, roof basket over the bed and onboard air, currently sitting on 285/75r16 tires and loves to race down the beach.
Welcome!!

New here. Just bought a 2004 1500 Victory Red AVA with no cladding. Am a CAT (catastrophe) claims adjuster and wanted a truck for my equipment as well as one to tow my new (to me) trailer. Travel from one CAT to another as necessary.

Hi, I live in New Zealand & have just purchased an '03 Avalanche that was converted to right hand drive in 2004 - this was a legal requirement at the time. Pick the truck up from dealer on Saturday.

I'm a long time GM fan & also own a '66 Chevy Caprice 4 door hardtop with a 496.

How-do,

New to site, have been watching for awhile.
I have a Black 02 North face. 166k 20 inch rims. Have had it for 2 years. I really like the way it drives. Comfortable. Frame is rusting out. body is clean. Runs great. Driving daily. Even has floor mats. only sore spot (besides frame) is driver seat bottom. I have to sell it for parts or find another Avalanche for the frame. I do have a friend who does "heavy line" and was willing to help swap, will cost me $$$. So frame swap or part out? I'm still driving daily....
What is the opinions?
I'm new to site. I have an 04 with bad frame I patched but want a new frame. I called on a 07 avalanche frame the guy told me won't work. Said I need a 1500 truck frame he said suburban and caddy xl won't work. Told me 1500 truck frame standard cab is the same. Any info on frames for my 04 avalanche base that will work . I'm a welder fabricator by old trade. So little work won't matter.

First welcome to the website!
If you have questions it's best to post them in the appropriate section based on subject such as suspension in suspension section or electrical questions in that section etc. to get most replies.
In general you need to stay within same generation to have a drop in fit without mods. Also the AV is built on the Suburban frame so I would stay with a 2002 to 2006 AV or Suburban frame. A Tahoe is a shortened Suburban so won't work and a standard pickup like Silverado has a different frame too I believe. A second generation AV and Suburban 2007-2013 is different frame as well.
