New Members Say Hello & Post Here First

Brand new owner. Bought an 04 1500 at auction and it's been my project for the last few months. Truck had great bones. So far all power accessories work, including heated seats, AC, cruise control, adjustable pedals and power sun roof. Body is relatively straight and even tires are good.

Had to do serious work on mechanical. New transmission, new brakes, front hub bearing, fuel pump and a set of Bilsteins. 4WD will be next (sticks in 4L occasionally), but so far, I'm satisfied

Hello Everyone, thanks for having me. I have been watching and learning from yall for about 6 years when I got a 2003 Avalanche 1500 z71, 123k miles. Its been mostly good times with this truck. I just joined the club recently though because I wanted to post something I learned so that it might help others with a similar problem. Not exactly sure where or what forum or section to post it? It was an electrical problem that had dozens of symptoms and sent me in many directions chasing my tail. I inadvertently stumbled on a shorted connector on the ABS module.

Hey folks, joined back in June 21, guess I need to post some pics of my Avvy 2003 Z71 to become full member...

Hey all, I have had my 05 for about a year, so yes I am late to the party in terms of posting and jumping on the avy love. I have posted a few times. I am a computer tech and IT contractor, I think this is the greatest tuck ever made. It fits my needs so well. I have the sides full of tools and equipment. It is by no means perfect, but perfect to me. With that said, I do have a disability and would like to make the bed and tailgate easier to access and use I bought a assist strut designed for NBS Silverado and that didn't work, i also bought a ez lift but didn't put that on because I don't know if it will fit properly or not. if it is not possible to get those things to work it is still the greatest thing I have ever bought and it makes me smile whenever I drive it.

Welcome to the site!
EZ Lift should work on your AV but you may have to flatten the lower bracket with a large hammer or similar tool to clear.
To provide easier use of the bed area you should look into a Bedslide type device so you don't have to climb in or reach over tailgate. You may have to contact customer service directly to see if they still carry device for the Av or have one on shelf in warehouse etc.

hello everyone, OK back in 2002 when the AV first came out I loved the concept but I thought the truck was Fugly, then I saw a red one that was lifted and I was hooked so the hunt began, in 04 I found an 02 z71 already lifted, pewter, beige interior and the love affair began. 3 years later I bought my wife a brand new 08 a couple of years and a butt load of miles on the 02 i had a momentary laps of judgement and traded it for a wrangler🤪 I new 5 minuets after I did it I was going to be sorry but I knew that I would have another 02 some day 2010 comes and I become disabled (back injury) my wife and I finally end up in Lake Havasu City, AZ and the hunt was on, two years ago I found the perfect truck, bone stock and the work begins again, 6 inch lift, running boards, 38x15.5 tires on 12x20 rims, new front cladding, grill, head and tail lights, painted all the cladding black and took it over the fender wells as well, cold air intake, plugs, wires, cleaned up the interior, looks like new again except for the headliner. lots more exciting stuff to come, will post pics as soon as i can
THANX the funewgie
