Thanks for the add! Long story short, for years I thought the Avalanche was the most useless truck ever. Nobody ever told me about the full size bed thing?! Was working in the lumber dept at Lowe’s awhile back waiting for a customer to go get his ride. He had about ten sheets of 4x8 plywood. When he pulled up in an avalanche I thought where does he think we’re putting this ply? I found out?! Lol! Fell in love that day. Just bought a 2003 z71 two days ago. Drivetrain is solid. The body is rough. But can’t wait to get her back to new!

Welcome to the club. There is a ton of info on this site.

Hello friends,
I have a clad 2005 z71, purchased about a year ago with~115k miles on it, i have put about 20k on it so far.
A few things i would like to do with this are modern android stereo with nav(has sirius, bose, onstar, cd/dvd, and video console now) backup camera would be nice too. I would also like to fit bigger tires(I put 275/70-17s on when i got it, this fit well) and improve clearance(truck 4 wheels ok but clearance could be better) so suspension and or bodylift, maybe offset wheels? I do have. Bent rear bumper i want to replace and probably replace the plastic over that otherwise plastic is in good shape, whatever my local carwash does seems to work well(i got comments on how good this truck looks, plastic and it does have cool blue/green factory paint that look different depending in the light). Oh, just remembered plastic over one of the running boards is cracked but that would be lower on my priority list.
Anyway, thanks for accpeting me into the group! I will be digging for knowledge regarding the things i want to do and will share progress and tips when i make useful discoveries.

Hey guys, my name's Miguel. I'm from Los Angeles, CA
I have an 03 Z71 getting to 201k. Ive had it for nearly a year and have a lot planned for it. Only thing I've put into it is a 4l65 with transgo shift kit, double din Alpine, newer headlights housing and leds, led tailights, led interior and CAI. I'll be adding a 6" lift and complete front suspension rebuild along with headers and true dual exhaust by summer. I've been in and out of forums and have finally decided to be a part of what y'all have. Looking forward to getting to know you guys soon.

:welcome:Miguel. You are off to a great start.

I recently bought a 2004 Chevy Avalanche Southern Comfort Edition. It is a 2 wheel drive and just turned 15,000 miles. Yes, the miles are actual. The vehicle had been stored in a garage for a long time before I ended up with it. It has a Escalade conversion, air ride suspension, 26 inch Jesse James wheels, stereo system which includes 7 TVs, multiple speakers and four 15" subs. My question is, did Southern Comfort install all of these things or did someone else after they purchased it? I want to get more information on this vehicle before I list it for sale.

No I doubt Southern Comfort added theCaddy parts as they had their own body kit and not all the tV stuff.

My guess is someone made a show truck, hence the low miles

Hey all just joined found good info on here
2004 metallic red Z71 AVY 2 MODS 1. Anti wife driving disabler and 2 anti prius tracking missiles (jk).

Joined this club back 2008 but have never posted till now. I have always searched these forums for answers to problems I ran into along my way with my Avalanche. Someone had always already asked the question I had at the time. The solution was always somewhere in these forums.
Thank you all for sharing you questions and answers over the years and know that you have helped many silent members.

I'm currently on a road trip from Pensacola, FL to Butte, MT and am delayed in Ft. Collins, CO for a transfer case. I expect to continue the trip Monday when the part comes in.
I currently own a 04, 2500 with 155k miles on it.
It's nice to meet you all!

I'm on my 2nd 2002 Avalanche 2500. the first one we got had 36k miles but was a lemon from a Dealership in NY and the 2nd, while over 200k miles was in much better condition and runs like a champ. I'm the 2nd owner of the 2nd Avalanche, sadly I either need to sell her or find the bench seats for the front as the family has grown and doesn't all fit.
