Hey all I just picked up an 04 Avalanche with 181,000 miles it has a few of the common quarks but it's a good solid (for Michigan anyways) running truck.
1.) oil psi gauge is pinned at 5:00 with the truck running or not. I don't think the tach is reading right either.
2.) Check engine light MAF/O2 sensors
3.) ABS light C0268 ABS motor pump short circuit. Could it be a bad ground???

Sounds like it could be a bad ground, usually it affects the instrument cluster, but I'm not 100% positive that it wouldn't affect any of the other problems that you're experiencing. I'm having a problem with my 2010 that it just stops running, it starts back up every time, it seems like someone is turning the key off and back on while I'm driving it, I'm about to pull my hair out trying to figure it out, lol, good luck with it!

Hi, I'm Keith. I live in Huntsville, AL and bought my blue 2013 Avalanche new from my hometown of Houston, Texas. Where I still pretty much buy all my cars and trucks. When I heard Chevy was doing away with the modern El Camino, I had to have one more. It has been the families pride and joy for eight years. Now with 170,000 miles and on my second transmission the wife insisted on a new car and the AV got booted to the driveway.

I am happy my 2003 z71 Avy is back on the road. New brake lines, rear brakes, spark plugs, wires, heat shields, oil change, trans flush, and new power steering oil cooler. In the past couple years put in a new alternator, battery, starter, fuel pump, door switch, hood and tailgate latches, heater blower motor, front brakes, and tires.

On my list next Bilstein shocks, LEDs inside and out, rust repair, rims, and some stepsides. Dont have truck payments so all is good.

How do I post pics in this

I’m Tim from the big town of Wallisville Texas. I’ve had my 05 big block Avalanche for about 4 years now, and absolutely love it. I had an 05 Z71 Avi before that, and after blowing the transmission up while pulling my camper, I decided it was time for a bigger truck. I ran across my Big Dawg on the hunt for a bigger truck and the rest is history! She’s pretty stock other than a Magnaflow muffler, a set of factory chrome H2 rims and a 2” lift to get the nose out of the weeds. And with only 147k miles, I’m expecting a long life out of her.
