New Members Say Hello & Post Here First

Hey topher, I also have an '04. Found missing ground firewall to hood. Seems common, the mounts should be there drivers side if yours is missing.
It also seems important. Replaced it and my check engine light went out ( again ) and I now pick up radio station I didn't have.
At first I thought you were pulling my chain, but there it is dangling from the hood

Aloha All,

I just bought a white '02 NFE with 186k. Living on Oahu, so there's not too many options for Avs here. I had been looking for a few weeks. Ever since we went to get a Christmas tree in the country part of the island. it was pouring rain and road was slick mud. my 2wd Sport Trac was sliding all over. The fiance mentioned that maybe we should get a 4wd. lol, I was like, "you don't have to convince me". I always knew I wanted to own an Av. and thought now was the time.

There were a few options here. One had 200k. another was the 2500 with 86k. I really didn't want that gigantic engine. But was about to accept my fate and buy it.

Then one had just popped up on marketplace. (like within minutes of me seeing it) It didn't have any interior pics. and not much info in the description. I messaged asking for interior pics and just out of curiosity typed "this isn't a 4wd, is it? "
They responded and said, "yes it is"! I was so surprised. Then they said, it's a NFE....hmmmm. I wasn't to keen on the interior colors North Face chose for their "edition".

I set up the earliest possible time to meet. And when I got there I found that all of the green seats had been reupholstered to straight black leather. People in here might hate that, but I was so happy for it! The truck was in really really good condition. The interior has very few problems and so does the outside. I went ahead and agreed to purchase. But he needs the truck for the month of January. Before he moves to Japan. So I'll post more pictures once I take delivery.

MY first post. Where is that? where do I post it? How?

Thank you for the welcome. I am a retired and living inn Fort Myers, Florida. I recently found out that the rear glass of the Avalanche is removable and the back plate comes down for hauling up to 8 feet, WOW. Once I new that I started looking for a used Avalanche.
After 20 years I recently learned that. Nobody I know owns one and nobody has ever told me that. I would have been an owner a long time ago.
Anyway I am here and will post on my new/old 2007 Avalanche LTZ with 217000 miles.

Hello all!

My name is Timothy, I live in Pennsylvania!

I am a first time chevy owner, and I just picked up a 2003 Fully Loaded Chevy Avalanche, with a whooping 44,000 miles. It is a 5.3L V8 z71 extended crew cab. I am now the second owner of this truck, that has been sitting for a long time, so I have began working on it!

I hope to partake of the wisdom of you chevy folk in my journey of repairing this beautiful truck!

Someone could make a spoiler to attache to the same three bolts.
Some members have gone practical over cosmetic and installed rear bed rack mounts under the grab handles. Also at one time when GTGs were popular some members either bought or ha mad a "three flag mount" under the handles for parades or car shows etc.
You can see photos and info in older threads.

Hi everyone, ngl I signed up to advertise my loaded and cammed yellow 03 avalanche for sale on Philly C/L I'm a chevy tech at the dealer that spends most of my days doing automatic transmissions. ask me anything

What’s up everyone just bought a 2004 Z71 with 94k miles for $4,000 in New England.. 0 issues with frame, one rear body mount needs to be replaced along with a few other things that I’ve already done. Caught the mod bug immediately and am surprised how much I like this truck 😁

I am happy my 2003 z71 Avy is back on the road. New brake lines, rear brakes, spark plugs, wires, heat shields, oil change, trans flush, and new power steering oil cooler. In the past couple years put in a new alternator, battery, starter, fuel pump, door switch, hood and tailgate latches, heater blower motor, front brakes, and tires.

On my list next Bilstein shocks, LEDs inside and out, rust repair, rims, and some stepsides. Dont have truck payments so all is good.

How do I post pics in this
I just did the bilstein shocks and LEDs everywhere and it’s a huge difference, getting some weird electrical issues thought
