New Members Say Hello & Post Here First

Hello from Kyle, TX! New member with a '09 LT 2wd that we purchased new. It just turned over 80k and is the current ride of our 19 year old who drives to and from his part time job at Amazon and to and from college.

My name is JJ I own a 2011 Chev Avalanche Ltz I love this truck but I have had some issues with check engine lights first was po304 took it to the dealership for repair found out of need to be cleaned from the top of the motor 1600 buck shortly after that number 4 lifter collapsed had replaced all lifters in the motor now in getting a po300 random misfire code anybody know what's going on with this 5.3l engine it's running ok but just small issues not getting rid of the truck just want to fix it any information to clear this up would help out a bunch

Chris here from Idaho....New Member..and New too Avalanches.... I just bought a 2013 LTZ Black Diamond 95,600 miles
I'm a GM fan...but not of this newer Stuff so I'm trying to learn about the AFM...VVT etc. I think my truck has both
I know to use M5 for around town use, So I can avoid the AFM. Still learning..
The last cars I hot-rodded were carburated ...327ci...350ci..never even heard of the 5.3 it seems to be overstroked? and it is a powerful little mother for sure.... I'm hoping with a good maintenance plan this truck will be pain-free to own.
Also this truck is from Florida....Anything I should look for?...like rusting or??

hello all, I am really green here, just this AM signed up. My official date as a A owner is 12/3. A reiend of mine was sitting on my porch one afternoon and said he was selling it. I had dold my old pickup (F150_) to a neighbor who could and did really fix it up, but I need a PU. I had no idea what a luxury the Avalance was. Really eddddndjoying it. Have been upable to find a plastic inster for the drivers side door, The one there has holes burned on the botton. Also the rupbber molding on the tool boxes has dried out and they don not seem to be availabe. If anydone knows where to get them I would really appreciate it. Trust all had a great Christmas. Steve

Hello everyone, Ted is the name and my wife and I love Av’s. We have owned a 2002, 2003 and our current one is a 2011 LT ZR71 with 92k on her. I’ve been lurking on this site before but finally decided to become a member as the info here is great.

Good morning everyone. I'm Jim and I have a 10 Avalanche,black,2wd with 178,000 miles. This is my second Av; had an 02 that I traded. Wish I had kept it and gotten the 10. Hoping to learn things on here to keep my av going for many more miles.

Aaron here from Orange County- Spent 5 years in a 04 Tahoe which turned me into a Chevy Fanboy. Followed up with adding a Chevy Bolt to the fleet in 2019 putting an end to hemorrhaging gas money. Then Covid hits, used prices went up so I sold the Tahoe with 335K on the original motor. Spent 9 months searching for her replacement as prices got stupid but found a 07 AVY LTZ Black on Black. The only box unchecked was 4x4 since I'm not prepared to spend $$$$. I look forward to learning some Tips and Tricks and giving back to the community however I can.
