It couldn't have been that easy! I see you used boxing gloves to get it on... Had to teach it a lesson?

Where's the action shots? ;-)

Looks good!
Were the boxing gloves required for the install? Or was that for the fustration if something didn't go on quite right? ;D

I would like to see a pic of how the bumper mounts to the frame :)

Looks nice

Looks real nice! ;D I like the new lights that you put in to replace the fog and DRL lights.

Nice job, Faver! Your AV definitely looks mean. Send me some high-res pics and I'll post them on a private page you can link to.

In this picture what is the small black thing on the top surface of the bumper just to the left of the vertical brush guard member in front of the grill.

Sorry, I'm a winch dummy. Is that to plug in a remote control for the winch? I thought the holes in the bumper on either side of the winch were to reach through and operate controls behind the bumper. I'm sure after you answer this will feel like a stupid question. :p

TXAvy,

Sorry, I should have been more precise - yes, that's where the remote plugs in. The controls located on most truck winches are for the clutch only, the on-off-reverse switch is held in the hand of the operator who stands a safe distance away from the cable or is behind the windshield. The clutch control is used only to disengage the winch drive so a person can pull cable out quickly. Once the desired amount of cable is out (usually to the nearest tree), the operator re-engages the clutch on the winch, then uses the hand control to apply power to pull in the cable.

Once you've been stuck *with* a winch and pulled yourself out, you'll never be without one. They're cool.

Thanks for the clarification. I've never had a winch, but never been stuck either..... Yet.
