Is there some sort of dealer installed option on the Avalanches that gives them a: billet grill, aftermarket rims (possibly 18's) exhaust and some sort of lower cladding that is color coded to match the truck. The lower cladding looks amazing, but it isn't just painted. It is different than the oem cladding. Like they took a truck without the cladding and added an aftermarket kit. I've seen two Z-71's like this in Green Bay. One tan and one white and both looked amazing.

Not from Chevy ...but maybe a local dealer did this...

Many dealers offer aftermarket accessory packages. GM is structuring their accessories business into regional 'market areas' each served by an 'Accessories Distributor Installer'. Dealers get accessories from their ADI who often offer packages for specific vehicles. Sometimes there are regional 'special edition' packages - specific vehicles outfitted (pre-loaded) and advertised, perhaps with unique branding or other markings. I've seen ads for trucks pre-loaded this way in FL, New England, and TX, and expect to see more.

I'd suggest visiting your local dealer - some of them even have kiosks in their showrooms, or even vehicles with packages already installed so you can see them.

Sounds like a conversion package. My local dealer just got in 4 or 5 04's with conversion package, they like real pretty, to pretty (for me) to drive as a truck though.

I think of it as being similar to the MarkIII packages they used to have on the silverado a few years back. The leather in these is different, one had a cream color leather that looked real nice in a white AV with painted cladding, bling rims and the works.

Carpenter, sounds like a pretty nice AV (y). Sorta like the Southern Comfort Avalanche that was done down south. Custom paint job, painted cladding, custom rims, grille, interior, etc.
How much is your dealer asking for it? Are you going to buy it?

Hey Carpenter...

Check at Broadway Automotive... the Chevy dealer on Ashland in Green Bay. They have a sweet red one like you describe sitting out front right now, I think.

Several dealers in the area have them and ship them out to have them customized. The ones I have seen run about $50k (sticker).

Hope this helps!
