NJ GTG 6/20th Fudd's And Mini Golf

NJ's having a gtg! (finally! >:D

)

Join us at the Fudd's in North Brunswick at 6pm, Friday, June 20th for dinner!

Everyone is welcome! Bring the family! Just reply here so I can get a head count and warn them we're coming.

I had suggested Wayne, but this seems more convinient for most of us... If anyone knows of something else they'd like to do in that area after dinner, feel free to post ideas..

A maybe for Janell and I. That's a little early on a Friday night... Leaving work, and hitting traffic will slow us down. If it was 7, we'd make it there easier.

Is this at the Fudds in Wayne or New Brunswick?

I've seen posts saying one or the other.

The New Brunswick one is about 2 miles from me, I can get there most any time. The traffic north on 287 at 5pm is stop-and-go. By the time I get out of work and fight traffic I probably won't be able to get to the Wayne one until 8 or 9pm.

don't know the area, but since y'all live there, anything u can think of to do after dinner is cool.. i'll have to cut out at 10 to get back here for work tho :6:

if it wasn't for the av payments, i would quit to spend more time at gtg's! >:D

Alright, since you changed it to our neck of the woods, we're there! I don't think it will take us that long to get to N. Brunswick. ;-)

As for afterwords, hmmm I dunno...

OK, I got it. I guess I'm taking some control here. ;-)

Fairway Golf Center. Yes, I know that place... It's in Piscataway. The go-karts are nothing special. They also have a 9 hole golf course, and I think a driving range. Also, there's a bowling alley RIGHT across the street if it's raining.

There's also one by me in Old Bridge on Route 18 - which would be a quicker commute. It's called FunMania. They don't have go-karts or a web site, but we could hit the mudhole that I go to all the time!

Either way, I know the way from Fudd's to either golf place, so I can be the tour leader - bumper flag and all

No doubt! Already got it off, as both the American and Devils flags are frayin...

Can we get a more durable flag anywhere?

The nylon flag are cheap at Memphis Flag $7.00 to be exact, polyester flags are made more for high wind but are more like $35 and I don't know how they'll hold up to the fact that you, me, & Conway are doin' like 90-95 w/ em... >:D

I know that the Devils flag, the state flags, my pirate flag and the like would tear up pretty fast they're just not made for it. But the outdoor nylon and/or polyester flags SHOULD do better

Just got back from a recon mission for a future GTG. ?Details ~~on the 11 o'clock news~~ at a later date.

I'll ask the iguanas for permission to go to Fudds and mini golf. ?I'll tell them how much I like mini golf, but completely suck at it. ?

?I hope they let me go! ?

woohoo i won't be the only one who sucks.. just be sure we park the av's far away.. no one needs a cracked windshield.. hehe

btw.. aj, have u tried apollo flags on rt 46? they're a little on the pricey side, but they're supposedly very durable.. they might even offer a warranty on them.. want me to do some scouting for u?

Sorry. I did it on cafcnj.com, but forgot about here. (Too many sites to remember)

Turnpike or Parkway to Rt 287.
287 North to Route 1 South.
Route 1 South - through many lights.
You will go over a bridge, and then past Loew's Movie Theaters.
You will then see Fudd's on the other side of the highway.
The next exit will be kind of tricky to make the U-turn, especially in rush hour traffic, so I would go to the second one - Ryder's Lane.
Take the 2nd Ryder's Lane exit to make a U-turn back on to Route 1 North.

A.J. how dare you MUD without me! I once had a friend who's brothers 2nd cousin by marriage went muddin' withoug me and it really P@SSED ME OFF!

I wish I could be there but the rest of my vacation went to the Savannah trip, which is OK...cause I KNOW EVERYONE IN HERE WILL BE THERE!

With regrets, I can't make this Friday ( and, yeah, I really suck at mini-golf as well ).......We're having a surprise baby shower at school for one of my favorite teachers and it's scheduled for Friday.....originally during lunch hour, but now it's pushed back 'til 3:30!.......plus my wife has to pull a 4 hour evening shift that night at Barnes and Noble due to the Harry Potter debut Saturday AM.......the entire store was told to attend, no excuses except death (?), so I'm not a happy camper or golfer, or Av'er at this time........ :6:

If we do this in Wayne in July I can make any Friday...
