Noise in front end

:B:I have a noise in the front end when you turn the wheel left and sometimes right.  It makes a clunk noise.

So the sail panels and bed carried over, as did the infamous clunk!

I sometimes hear the same noise. At first I thought it was a wheel bearing noise... checked and all tight.  Have not gone to the dealer yet.

Gotta wonder about that, given that the steering gear is different now.  Did they go with the same steering column though?

On the other hand, I guess I can't say I'd be all that surprised, since none of the "fixes" for the GMT800 trucks with this issue (caused by the column) sounded like they were permanent, even with the upgraded part.

Sounds like this clunk noise has been around for some time.  From my experience with dealers and their ability to diagnose noises, I will be expecting that patented service writer "look"........... as if to say "Dude.... we really don't know what to do about it.....why don't you bring it back if the front end falls off"
It doesn't at all sound serious... which is why I haven't taken it in yet.
