North Face Bags

Howdy All!

Here is the latest info on my missing North Face bags.

I thought about just ordering them from GM and sending a bill to the dealership since they seem to want to keep dragging their feet on getting them to me.

So, I dropped by my local dealership (not the one I bought the truck from) and had the parts manager look them up for me.

The part numbers are:

15093828 Name: BACKPACK (Daypack)
15093829 Name: BAG (Water Duffalo Bag)

Part number 15093827 is the total kit and looking up that number refers you to the individual numbers above.

Then I had him look up the prices. Their online system does NOT list the price, so he had to call GM's automated parts system. The system refered him to another extension. When he called that extension, he was told that the items are available and he was given the price.

Hold on to your hats for this one.

The quoted dealer trade price (the price they offer other shops...about 20% over their cost) is this

15093828 Price -- $89.24...each
15093829 Price -- $533.90...EACH :3:

(Now...I think that he MIGHT have it wrong and the part number includes 2 of each, but...he did quote it as each.)

This may explain why the dealer who sold me my truck is fighting it out with GM instead of just ordering me the bags through GM parts. :)

As for me, I sicced Chevrolet Customer Care on the dealership last week and I'm planning on talking to the Area Rep for that dealership this coming week.

If anyone actually wants to order these and your local parts man can't find them, let me know. I'll be more than happy to put you in contact with my local parts manager.

More on this as it develops... :B:

I could possibly be persuaded into selling my unused day-pods and duffalo's for those prices. I'll even knock off 10%! >:D

LOL...wouldn't blame ya a bit.

Believe I'll wait on GM to send me mine though. ;D

If anyone has the bag that came with the North Face Edition Truck (or SUV, whatever you fancy!)...

I was wondering if the bag is small because the Ebay descriptions say it is 14"x11" and that seems too small for a back pack to me.

I was just wondering if the ones on Ebay are counterfeits or defects. If they are suppose to be small, please let me know. Thanks!

OK, I don't actually have a TNF AV, but... the back packs are actually "day packs" or "day pods" and they are actually meant to be mounted on the back of the front seats, so they are small (like school backpack size). There is a duffel that is larger, it is also waterproof, they get more pricey.

Hope it helps.

Hi all,

I bought a NFE Avalanche in yellow earlier this month (I can't peel the grin off my face) and it was missing the bags.  Probably another happy sales guy somewhere!

It was not too tough to find the bags, brand new in the plastic with tags on Ebay.  They seem to come and go in runs.  I got 2 brand new bags for around $70 with shipping.  I didn't think that was too bad considering the Chevy factory price.  They are now sitting on the backs of my seats and look great.

I don't think I will use them ever, but it beats having little clips on my seats for nothing.  They look cool too.

Hope this helps, be patient, they pop up from time to time.

Keith

Looking to buy two North Face packs that clip on the back of the seat (north face summit pod daypacks).  Any help or advice would be appreciated.

HERE's what you have to do:

get your clips from some old book bag, backpack, or cooler.

stitch by removing the upper seat cover and using a sewing machine to backstitch and reinforce the current line and insert the clips into the seatback.
or have an upholstry shop do it for you,  you can also sew clips, north face and chevy patches onto any bag if you can't buy the nfe bags

Is anyone still looking for the duffel bag, I have a never used one that I'd like to sell.
