Well I am starting this post to see what day of the weekend that would be good for a Monthly meeting. (I know that we have a lot of travelers in the group that is why I say Sat or Sun) These meeting would be to discuss and plan upcoming events. Some of the things that have been tossed around would be a modding GTG, 4x4 GTG's, Cruises to different spots, and just GTG to have some fun! We actually have over 45 owners registered in the Atlanta area and would like to get people to come out and meet different people in the crowd! Trust me when I say when you come out to one of these events you will want to come out to others! So what I would like to do is start to have some monthly meetings so we can get people out and start to plan some things to do! I was even thinking as we get near the holidays it would be great to do a Toys for Tots cruise! Just think of Santa delivering toys in an Avalanche!! The only way thought to make this work is to have the support of the members to come out and participate in these events! So please vote so we can start meeting in August!

2nd saturday?? I don't know... business always gets in the way of pleasure...

I guess that is my vote.. but saturday definately over sunday...

 
Ok, I have been told that I forgot to add one choice which is it does not matter what weekend it is as I will be there! So if you fall into this Catagory, please post a message here stating that!!

Yes, we need to have another Hooters GTG!!!

I am available most weekends. My son and I are involved in Scouting and we camp 1 weekend a month, but the weekend is not set. So, I am one of those that will vote for any Saturday. If it happens to fall on the weekend we are camping, drink a beer in my name and I will catch you the next month!!

I would like to have a meeting dedicated to MOD's. That will most likely need to be someplace other than the Hooters parking lot. Best thing would be to meet someplace for MOD's, then drive over to Hooters to quench the thirst from all the hard work when we are done modding!! >:D

As for the 4x4 GTG's, I have a Z66, but I am willing to give it a try as long as it is not to treacherous!! I took my old 2x4 Nissan places you would never think it could go!!

Well the monthly GTG meetings will be held on the Second Saturday of the Month. So I know that a lot of the people that came out for the last one liked it being at Hooters. We know have some female members and would like to ask them if they are ok with this? If not we can meet at a Taco Mac. I would like for everybody to put on their schedules the next meeting will be August 16th (Yes I know this is the third Sunday), since this month has five Weekends!. It will be an evening meet 6:30, place to be determined based on what the group would like! Please bring your calendar so we can look at some upcoming GTG and what we would like to do!

Well I have some good news!! FREE WINGS AND SOFT DRINKS!!! Yeap the local hooters has given the Avalanche club of North Geogia a VIP Pass!!!! So what is hold you back now???

Wish I could make this one ... Free Wings sound almost as good as the servers >:D However ... Mother-in-laws Bday Party on Lake Burton same time different place. :E: Maybe I'll make the one next month. Would like to remain married !!! ;)
 
I just wanted to thank everybody that made it out! We had a great time and the free wings were a blast! It looks like we might have finally found a dealer that would like to be associated with our local group! It is Bill Heard of Buford! We will see as time goes on! Some of the things that were discussed with this meeting were the up coming cruise in the North Georgia Mountains, Oct 25th. We also talk about having a Modding GTG, were you bring what you would like to Mod and we would help out, no date set yet on that as it really depends on what people want to do and if how many would like to mod! We also started to set the date of the winter cruise which is going to be December 6th, this is going to be a toys for tots cruise to Lake Lanier Islands for the Christmas lights. We were thinking that it would be neat to give something back to the community! So start pumping you go works for commitments for toys! Now for everybody else that did not show we are going to be having are next meet on Sept 13th. Location to be determined, but leaning this meet to be at Taco Mac. We will probably alternate between Hooters and Taco Mac, if the dealership thing works out we will also pop in and begin some of the meets there! So plan on coming out to the next meet; PLAN NOW TO MAKE IT HAPPEN! Again I would like to thank Jeff and his Friend, Alana and her Husband Ed!
